Round 1
I will make only one argument
If others copy you, it means you are great.
Totalitarian state is great because it brings decisions easily and always has a goal to extend its power, thus forcing others to copy it if they wish to keep up.
The premise should be:
If other copy you it means they are spineless and pathetic
and lack the boldness and courage to be unique

Definitions:
A totalitarian state is a form of government that prohibits opposition political parties, disregards individual and group opposition to the state, and controls both the public and private spheres of society
Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Totalitarian leaders live in continual fear.
I would argue the greatest force in society is religion. In the name of religion people will become martyred and in the name of religion people will almost passionately kill other people.
For a Totalitarian system to be successful it must create a religion that worships it cause and so it must also destroy other religions and ultimately God
I assert Every individual regardless of society background can discern right and wrong and so has morals and conscience. Every individual has the choice to be courageous and do what is right or to make bad choices.

Sideline Totalitarian regime descriptions
The quality of life is any totalitarian system is far worse than in any free system. So far all to totalitarian regime have eventually failed either by internal forces or by external forces
- Blind emperor worship in Japan saw their defeat World War II
- Benito Mussolini's downfall was a combination of military failures, political betrayal, and popular uprising.
- Mao Zedong's downfall was primarily due to the catastrophic consequences of his policies, particularly the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution, which led to widespread famine, economic disruption, and social chaos.
- Hitler's downfall was to his madness and the world crushed him and Germany
- The Soviet Union collapse was the result of internal factors (Economic Stagnation) and external factors (USA). It took the courage of Mikhail Gorbachev to introduce policies of glasnost (openness) and perestroika (restructuring)
- N Korea is the world's largest concentration camp with widespread starvation, and as I understand a restricted vocabulary with no words for certain emotions. Very sad and bad
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, in summary great power of a totalitarian state is if it can create a pseudo religion where people worship its cause, but its consequences are Godlessness, and it requires internal or external forces and courage to be overcome
I reiterate all man and woman have a conscience to guide our morals
This ingredient comes from our creator
We all also have a strong sense of justice that wants a just outcome
This ingredient also comes from our creator
I would also argue It is faith the give the courage and hope to live in or help overcame a system; but this debate only focused on the source of power of a totalitarian state which I say is ultimately a religion, and this debate is not on the nature of faith.
Thanks
