Is the Name of Father God/Holy Spirit according to the scriptures Jesus/Jesus Christ?
Yes.
We go to Matthew 28:19
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost"
His followers followed the instruction to fulfill the command starting at Jerusalem. Only starting see, then to all the rest of the nations.
Luke 24
"47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
There we have the name again. Who's name? His name. His name and the remission of sins.
So the command was followed. Only in Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them after they asked what shall they do.
"38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Did Peter obey Matthew 28:19?
The scriptures do teach that whoever confesses Jesus is the son of God. Yes "she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus".
So the name of the son was Jesus and that was called in Acts 2:38, but ......what about the Holy Ghost? If there is a different name, did Peter get it wrong?
He itemized one name that Jesus commanded to baptize in and yet Jesus said in the name of the Father, Holy Spirit as well.
Jesus manifested the name of the Father, meaning he made the name known.
John 17
"5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word."
He manifested the name of the Father. So what name did he manifest of the Father?
Well what did they know about Jesus and what was revealed?
Matthew 16, let's go there.
"13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?"
In other words, what do men know about him? There's going to be some revealing unto man.
"14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets."
Here are some names. But none of which is the name to be manifested or revealed.
"15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
So the Father being manifested in flesh manifested his name. We learned the name Jesus and we learned Christ. We got Jesus and we got Christ.
Going back to Matthew 16
At verse
"18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."
"build my church", hold a bookmark there. Who's church? Jesus's church, Christ's church.
"20 Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ."
See this was revealed and great is the mystery of godliness. It is given unto those to know it. The only way for it to be given, it had to be a revelation.
The name was revealed in baptism in Acts as it was not known before which brings up John where he said he must decreased. John's baptism wasn't in the name of the Father , Son and Holy Ghost because that name was not revealed yet. People were only baptized unto John's baptism, baptism of repentance.
I'm coming to a close.
Jesus's church. We've learned who's church it is.
In Ephesians 2
"16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
" one body"
"17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.
18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;"
"household of God"
"20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;"
"upon this rock I will build my church"
"21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."
One body? Who's body? We have church, we have household, holy temple, built up. All in one context and it is in the Lord, Household of God. But the name of this God, Jesus's church, Jesus's body.
One body, one Lord , singular name, in the NAME of the Father , there is but one God the Father according to scripture.
Ephesians 4
"4 There is one body, "
"12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:"
There it is , Christ, Christ's body. God's body.
"16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
Here it is again fitly together in that body. The body of who?
Ephesians, still in Ephesians, chapter 5
"27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
There it is , himself a church, and also holy.
This lines up with Peter I believe.
1 Peter 2:9
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called."
"holy nation"
So holy and a people. A people of a body, many members, saints , making a nation, of who's people?
"I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart."
Oh God's people.
How'd God want his people to be? What kind of people? Now we read plenty in Ephesians but we line it up back to the old testament. The things that were written before time written for our learning and all things must be fulfilled as the scriptures teach and these latter times manifested these things through his son according to scripture.
Deuteronomy 7:6 " For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth."
"That he might present it to himself a glorious church" and " God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself", lining all this up you will run into the name. You will have the name of God manifested.
I end here.
