Description
the internet was a bad invention
Round 1
The Internet has been negative in more ways than one. There are a lot of cyber crime that has occurred because of the Internet, such as hacking, fishing and scams, and Ransomare. The Internet has also brought life to the dark web: illegal markets are a big part of the Internet, a lot of piracy and counterfeit goods are sold online as well and services such as child pornography, grooming and trafficking. The Internet also help facilitate traditional crimes through coordination. Criminals can coordinate activities and can use social media online tools to identify potential targets.
Despite its association with various forms of crime, the internet remains one of the most transformative inventions in human history. It has revolutionized communication, making it easier and faster to connect with people across the globe. The internet has democratized access to information, enabling education, innovation, and the sharing of knowledge on an unprecedented scale. It has also fueled economic growth, created new industries, and provided a platform for social change.
While it poses negative drawbacks, the benefits of the internet in enhancing human connectivity, creativity, and progress far outweigh the risks associated with its misuse.
Round 2
If we had no internet none of these issues would exist. Don’t get me wrong I love the internet but there’s a reason crime rates were lower before it
Just because it has increased crime rates does not mean it is necessarily bad. Using your logic, you could say that the invention of cars has increased crime rates, but cars are not a bad invention.
Most inventions were a bad idea. Humans are just too stupid to realize it. Sadly, competition demands inventions.
