So here are my main arguments-

1)Universal Basic Income (UBI) takes money from the poor and gives it to everyone, increasing poverty and depriving the poor of much needed targeted support-
People experiencing poverty face a variety of hardships that are addressed with existing anti-poverty measures such as food stamps, medical aid, and child assistance programs. UBI programs often use funds from these targeted programs for distribution to everyone without regard for need.

2)UBI removes incentive to work-
Earned income motivates people to work, be successful, work cooperatively with colleagues, and gain skills. However,if we pay people, unconditionally, to do nothing… they will do nothing and this leads to a less effective economy.

3)UBI is too expensive-
A $2,000 a month per head of household UBI would cost an estimated $2.275 trillion annually, says Marc Joffe, Director of Policy Research at the California Policy Center. Some of this cost could be offset by eliminating federal, state, and local assistance programs; however, by Joffe’s calculation, “these offsets total only $810 billion… [leaving] a net budgetary cost of over $1.4 trillion for a universal basic income program

4)UBI increases inflation
UBI and for that matter any direct monetary stimulus scheme increases inflation, as was clearly and disastrously evident during covid 19

5) UBI, will lead to appeasement politics-
Any politician running, for office would have a great way of getting votes by simply promising to increase the amount of UBI, which would have terrible implications on the economy, as inflation will skyrocket, and government funding from other sectors such as research, defense, transport, will have to be cut.

Quite basically, we can just fix everything you think is wrong with "universal basic income" and  it's a good idea.

Like in the example of taking money from those who have low income because we have to be specific here.

Take money from the rich , meaning a higher tax deduction to distribute to financial assistance programs.

Now this is basically universal right now to aid in others income.

This is already going on. I don't believe those that are participating in those programs are complaining about how bad it is to receive a supplemental allowance, a tax rebate/rent rebate for seniors.

No this is not an actual issue.
