Description

I challenge someone to prove to me that private universities shouldnt co-exist with public ones. This means that i want someone to either prove that it's better for all universities to be public or for all to be private, considering that we are talking about an advanced country in general, meaning economically,culturally etc.

My first argument is based on the diversity of options available should the motion I am proposing be put into effect.

My constructive case considers students of low as well as high income.

Firstly, students of low income can go to public universities free of charge and if they are exquisite students they can obtain financial aid to attend private universities.

A student of high income that is not that good of a student can pay to go a low tier private university and therefore not be deprived of university education whereas if he’s good enough he can pay for a top-tier private university.

In this way, every student has a right to education and students are assessed purely on academic results.

Furthermore, students no matter their income have the opportunity to choose schools that fit their preferences in terms of cost, location and many other factors and not be restricted to the options offered by exclusively private or public universities

My second argument concerns the allocation of ressources as well as the distribution of teachers and students. In the system i propose, ressources and new information mainly scientific can be distributed among both private and public universities and not be reserved to one side. Through this way, there is equal access to information and student have equal access to all new discoveries and information. On the other hand, public universities which are currently at full capacity, can distribute their students to other universities. This also applies for teachers and staff in general because if they are not satisfied with their current working conditions they can simply apply to work at the private universities and potentially be paid more. To sum up, the coexistence of private and public universities benefits the overall management of university education in terms of information as well as everyone involved in it

As your argument is fair, relocating students from public universities to private universities is quite literally unfair, more so than often, mainly that they are separated for cultural issues, like all-black universities, they cannot be relocated since the perquisites don't meet, or like issues between homeland, going on right now, Palestinian and Israelis are at conflict at said public universities. At a private university, students behave better, mainly because of the requirements of behavior that has to be met. According to bestcolleges.com, they state that public colleges and universities are higher education institutions that are mainly funded by state governments. In contrast, private colleges and universities rely more heavily on student tuition fees, alumni donations, and endowments to fund their academic programs.

It's not unfair for students to get the same amount of education, but it's (maybe or maybe not) the parents fault.

First of all, great name choice. Secondly, i'm sorry for the character limit but i dont have that much time to debate and i try to make the best of it whereas the twelve hour limit for arguments was accidental,ill make sure to provide a better format next time but forgive me as that this was my first debate. (p.s i liked your rebuttal)

Here's the thing, this format that you are using is so demanding, that I have to be here online so much to the point where I accidentally forfeit because I have work to take care of, please try making it longer, because in a online debate, it takes hours to construct a paragraph that truly makes sense, not only that, but you have a terrible parameter, 1,000 words?! That's enough letters to create a claim, but it removes the cons ability to counterargue/claim, and come with their own reasoning, especially with two rounds.
