Round 1
Media allows us to connect people with people around the world with similar interests. According to a survey that was conducted by Young Minds out of the 1000 young people aged 11-25 year old's that they asked 62% stated that "social media made a positive impact on their relationship with their friends. Furthermore creative media can help young people learn about different cultures and health advise from website such as YouTube. According to The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH) young people rated YouTube positively in terms of providing access to health information awareness of other people's health and wellbeing issues and delivering emotional support.
Research from the Education Policy Institute and The Prince's Trust said wellbeing and self-esteem were similar in all teenagers, 14-19.
Creative media of any sorts such as Youtube and social platforms have had a negative effect on many teenagers mental health, self imagine/esteem.
For example in a research attempt, researchers found out 1 in 7 girls have low self esteem/imagine by the time they are 14 just from using and creative media websites/apps. This does apply to more than just the females in the age range. young teenage boys would feel the same way.
Most teenagers who felt this way all tried to focus on working out to improve their own self worth which did in fact help majority of the questioned youth.
(The research uses data from 5,000 young people in England from the Millennium Cohort Study.)
This information proves that not all creative media consumed has a positive impact on the human mind, it needs to be consumed in doses and with a grain of salt to teach youth that everybody and everything is different from each other so their self esteem/imagine doesn't drop thinking they aren't the ideal person, when there's no such thing
