Indeed, there's evil in the world. But while making this point, the other face of this coin may also be taken into consideration, by which I refer to the presence of good.
And one must agree that the All-good, all-powerful God, while "allowing" suffering and other kinds of evil, he also allows for good and beautiful things to happen.
Also, when we look at evils like pain, death and suffering from a small, or rather narrow perspective focusing only on the loss factor, what we miss here is the bigger picture. Take a look at any history book; did many achieve their visions (of say, freedom or equality and such) without enduring difficulties of their own?
