OST stands for original soundtrack.
Anime OST: A soundtrack that plays during a scene in an anime whether it be a fight scene, sad scene, funny scene etc.
Me and my opponent are to post 3 ost's per round from any anime.
Rules for voters: Listen to each ost and rate each one of them 1-5 for all five rounds. 1 being the lowest and 5 being the best. For all five rounds you add up the points and whoever has the highest points, you award all 7 points to the winner. If anyone gets ready to vote and needs me to explain the rules again in case you don't understand, then I will in the comments.
*Point system idea credit goes to: Sir.Lancelot*
For the voters: If you don't watch anime you still may be able to participate and vote. Like I said OST's are just soundtracks/instrumentals. They are just pieces of music and you may like some of them.
Wow, then it really has been a while. I remember your debates on King_8 for sure. Still watching quite a bit of anime, so always happy to talk about it, debate on it, or vote on just about anything related to it.
Thanks for voting. I've always loved your in depth analysis when you vote. We actually debated a few years ago on my old account it was the anime OST debate: https://www.debateart.com/debates/922-anime-debate-or-music-battle-intros-and-osts
I'm King_8. We also had a lot of interactions on my other anime based debates whether it were votes or us talking back and forth about anime. (The debate with Athias (anime fight debate) and the debate with InfakeWars)
Cool. Should be able to set aside an hour or so binge and score these. I get the basic concept of how you want voters to score it, so that shouldn't be a problem, but if I do end up erring in some way, let me know and I can delete and reformulate it when the time comes.
Alright, done.
Example of voting rules to help out:
Con's R1:
anime ost - you rate this a 5 (1 being the lowest score, meaning you didn't really like it and 5 being very great soundtrack, something you really like)
anime ost - you rate this a 3
anime ost - you rate this a 1
Add up the pts and the first round = 9 pts.
Do the same for all 5 rounds and add up all the points at the end for Pro and Con. Whoever has a higher point wins. You choose all 7 pts for the winner (Choose arguments, sources, legibility and conduct) all those go to the winner.
Ok cool
You were originally my first pick to mention for voting, lol. Sounds good.
Someone remind me of this when it finishes. I'll do a binge session on some anime music and post a vote.
Oh.. I meant to add a different ost. Guess i'll have to wait till next round if you don't catch it.
I didn't see this, but thanks for clarifying.
I most likely wont being that my songs would carry the same type of style, which i'm trying to spread out to match the voters 'cup of tea'.
You can use different ost's from the same show if you want, up to you
Bruh 🤣 well idek shit
It's fine no worries I don't mind. Gonna be fun debates good luck, plus more than likely I might make part 2's and stuff just in case anyone else wants to debate or you wanna debate again doesn't matter
Be mine, then we can kiss and cry.
I hope you don't mind me accepting both your open debates, lol.
They actually just seemed something cool to do, rather than tiring myself.
I invented it.
Don’t listen to him.
You think he 'invented' that? We were doing that long before he got to the website wtf
