Gun related crimes in the US occur substantially more than any other country that is of the first world. I intend to prove that the only reason why guns are so readily available in this country is the fact that the Supreme Court intentionally misinterpreted the second Amendment for personal financial gain. I believe the pro position can prove that the way the second Amendment is written it was the author's intention to limit who has weapons and who is trained with them, and not the way the Supreme Court has interpreted it which is to say that every American has the right to have a weapon in their home. Legislation across the country has passed laws to restrict which weapon you can have, it's firing modes, how and when they are carried. Also passing laws of who you can shoot and why you shoot them may or may not be justified or a crime etc etc... None of those laws have anything to do with the second Amendment and how it was written, if the second Amendment were interpreted correctly none of these laws would exist.
Please give a fetus a firearm. /j
