- Obviously, for the topic I choose, I will be con and Mall, pro.
- All the resolution entails is that I choose a topic alone. Consequently, once I have done so, I have won the debate.
- The topic I choose is: "THBT: North Korea is currently the best country in the world."
- Pro has the burden of proof as he is the instigator in this debate. Con does not require an argument.
- While holding the burden of proof pro has made no arguments for the resolution consequently giving the voter no reason to even consider his position., childishly sating that everything is subjective, as if this convinces anyone. This can be considered a forfeited round, and while the resolution defaults to con, I can make my case simple.
- The role of the state/country is to safeguard the rights and liberties as well as to develop the quality of life of the people that constitute it. This is because without the people, the state cannot functionally exist, and without basic functions such as these, an end of human flourishing cannot be met. North Korea is therefore one of the worst countries in the world ranking 177th in GDP per capita which measures the average prosperity of every individual citizen. It is also among a collection of only 16 countries that "have the worst aggregate scores for political rights and civil liberties." North Korea is thus a volatile area for human rights.
- North Korea is also "one of the most repressive authoritarian states in the world," making the region a volatile area for the human rights of innocent people and nearly half of their population is malnourished, due to its lack of development.
Novice is the troll, not Mall.
