Description
Rules:
-I am the Pro, I will be stating why fajitas ARE better than burritos.
-The Con will be stating why burritos are better than fajitas.
-The debate is supposed to be mostly about taste, and the amount or type of consumer who would like the food. Though, a health fact can be thrown in, because that is important too.
-This is largely a practice debate for a newbie!
Round 1
Forfeited
Resolved: Fajitas are nicer to eat than burritos.
Framework
- Fajita: A fajita, in Tex-Mex cuisine, is any stripped grilled meat with stripped peppers and onions usually served on a flour or corn tortilla. The term originally referred to skirt steak, the cut of beef first used in the dish [1].
- Burrito: A burrito is a dish in Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine that took form in California cuisine, consisting of a flour tortilla wrapped into a sealed cylindrical shape around various ingredients. The tortilla is sometimes lightly grilled or steamed to soften it, make it more pliable, and allow it to adhere to itself [2].
C1
- In the rules, pro states "The debate is supposed to be mostly about taste, and the amount or type of consumer who would like the food." Pro explicitly stipulates that consumer preferences are not only relevant but the basis of this debate.
- A large survey/poll study was conducted on the eating habits of various people. "The survey revealed that most consumers can't go even a week without a burrito, with 72% of Millennial respondents admitting to enjoying an average of 2 to 3 burritos a week, while an overwhelming majority of Gen X consumers (90%) admit to eating burritos at least once a week" [3]. Clearly, the overwhelming ammount of people enjoy burritos on a frequent basis.
- Pro has forfeited round one but must show evidence of the appeal of fajitas. I will leave my case be however as this is a four-round debate and I am the only one that has upheld any burden of proof.

Round 2
Forfeited
- Extend for now. If Pro makes an affirmative case, I will respond to them.
Round 3
Forfeited
- Pro has not presented an argument
Round 4
Forfeited
- Please just cast votes in respect of the full forfeiture of my opponent.
- I take no issue with my opponents abscence here, his/her profile picture is quite interesting, and the service of contribution twoards my own persuits contributes slightly more utility then wasting my time.
The instigator clearly forfeited, can someone vote on this please?
Oh man, you guys are not talking about the Chuck Norris one I did days ago, right?
And no, I have had about 0 fajitas and 1 burrito in my life. Wait till someone starts a topic among two esoteric things like "The integral symbol is better than crime statistics of Crimea". It is and will be funny,
Yeah, some people resent these types of debate, I admire your effort to freshen what's turning up.
Well somebody got inspired!
