Description
Our society is constantly evolving exponentially. This evolution has brought us to the birth of artificial intelligence. This development has brought many controversial opinions about its usage. Today we will be discussing its effects on society and its future.
Round 1
Claim (1) :Around 2 million drivers in car accidents experience permanent injuries every year. Crash risk is highest during the first year that drivers are licensed. The introduction of artificial intelligence and self-driving cars could help reduce these numbers and save lives. Artificial intelligence lessened the percentage of human error while driving which in turn saves millions of lives everywhere in the world. We already see companies already using artificial intelligence in their cars for example, tesla. This technology could be used in other fields of studies to help humanity.
I believe that the human brain has the same specialties and ability as any device or machine or a computer if not even more than that. for me, I see that artificial intelligence sometimes can have some negative effects because, in my opinion, I think that if artificial intelligence developed and overtook the human brain intelligence it will hard for people to control and defeat and overthink it.
Round 2
The reason that artificial intelligence was created for was not to compete with the human brain, but to make it easier for us in our everyday lives. It was created in order to provide humans with more time to focus their thinking and mental power in other fields or areas that artificial intelligence couldn't cover. It completes tedious tasks for humans that would give humans the opportunity for the improvement on other areas. Artificial intelligence would help solve new difficult problems or cover small tedious tasks. It has a wide area of application that would push society into the future.
The bad effects of artificial intelligence are that people will start losing their jobs and job opportunities will become less and less. wage salaries will become lower and that's a problem that mid-skilled people will face and it will affect their lifestyle along with their income. another thing is people will start getting lazy and will give the majority of the work to a machine to do

I vote pro because I buy that AI saves lives. I don't feel comfortable voting on a new argument in the last speech that con made, but it's outweighed anyways. Lastly, the idea that we can't beat AI brought up by Con is answered by Pro by him saying that it's supposed to allow us to free ourselves from menial tasks.

Don't drop your point. That means that when you bring up an idea (like AI can save lives), if your opponent doesn't answer it, say they dropped it and you extend it. Also, try to use sources.

Make sure you answer the points made by Pro. Try to not make new arguments in the last speech, it's super abusive because Pro doesn't get a chance to answer it, meaning some judges (myself included) won't vote on it. Lastly, use sources.
