Description
We will debate the different ways to colonize our solar system.
My contender is not a Con we are debating different ways to do this.
Round 1
The way I would start to colonize our solar system would be to first, build a fully functioning, public, space station orbiting around the Earth. This would provide as a starting point for the public who would want to colonize. The second step would be to build a smaller but also public space station around the Moon. Then you would start to Industrialize the moon. This is a big part in the colonization of our solar system and would need to be done. You would start by creating a big base on the moon along with many industrial plants. This would also be a great start to get people interested in moving to new planets without taking the long trip to Mars. The Moon would be a great producer in colonization ships because of its low gravity. With lower gravity you can produce larger objects and use a lot less fuel to get them off the planet. These ships could later be used to colonize other planets or even other solar systems.
I would now like to focus on the helpfulness of the Lunar Station. It will provide as a starting point for many missions as the gravity is lower and the Moon is a great slingshot for spaceships.
I will now let my opponent respond and talk about Mars and Venus in the second round.
I agree with that. What do we debate about now?
Round 2
Then we will debate about Mars and Venus colonization. Before we went to Mars we should colonize Venus. We would do this by using attachments to the ground and having our own version of Cloud City. We would have lots of hydrogen for fuel and a huge research bonus on Venus. Then we would move to Mars and we would find a good landing position. Then we send some people who volunteer to start the colony. Then we would slowly expand the colony. This would be the end of our immediate colonization of our solar system. We should then start working on interstellar travel technology.
I think we should not colonize mars before our interstellar research. If we waste all the hydrogen on colonization attempts, how would we make it to another galaxy?

>Reported Vote: Ramshutu // Mod action: Not Removed
>Points Awarded: 3 points to Pro for arguments
>Reason for Decision: Pro offered a justification for their position regarding colonizing Venus for fuel. Con didn’t really present an argument of any substance, there was little justification given other than a throwaway statement about running out of resources. As a result, pro wins on arguments.
>Reason for Mod Action: The vote was found to be sufficient per the site voting policy standards.

If you want to debate about space, then have the debate title be, "The moon should be colonized before Mars".
Now that I do, I won’t do so bad in the next debate
Just letting you guys know that this is my first debate. I really have no idea what I’m doing.
