Boxing should be taught in schools, As it teaches self discipline and control, As well as this it would also help keep students fit and healthy while teaching them self defense and perhaps even giving them a hobby they can enjoy in the process.

What should be taught in school? Why is it necessary to teach it?

In a public school are we going to waste taxpayer's money on this? If a private institution, perhaps, yes just perhaps I could see a case made that extra-curricular boxing held by school STAFF perhaps should be included at an ADDITIONAL cost for those interested.

Boxing in no way at all prepares you for general work and Pro has yet to prove it teaches discipline and self-control better than other school subjects and areas-covered. I would also like Pro to explain why the HARMS (which I will happily prove if called out on it) outweigh the benefits when there are so many safer sports (including 1v1 sports) such as tennis that teach everything Boxing does but better. The only thing boxing is unique in compared to other PE/gym activities seems to be violence and ability to receive harm during it.

Boxing can be tought in Physical Education as part of a self-defense unit. Self-defense is an important thing to learn as you never know when it will come in handy, and some boxing moves could be used to defend oneself.

Not only will it waste taxpayer money, somebody will end up hurt and then the parents will sue the school, and since we have have a problem with the public education system in this country, the school will not be able to pay for it, and the there’s more taxpayer money down the drain.

It's hard to say. Boxing is cool and all but it has the potential to statistically increase the brain damage levels of the general school going population.

Pro stated that it teaches self discipline. Con rebutted this. It's not convincing for how a sport that encourages assault would teach self discipline. People already know not to hit each other. Con also had arguments so convincing to his opponent that it caused him to forfeit. He said there were other alternatives to get fit and to get self discipline.

Conduct:

Pro forfeit all of his rounds except the 1st one. This is poor conduct.

I hope my vote does not get removed because I am trying pretty hard on this one.
