Round 1
Thanks for accepting. I will now begin my opening
statements.
0.1-Clarifications
PRO is arguing that Donald Trump is the worst president that
has ever took office in the history of the United States of America.
0.2-Abbreviations
POTUS- President of the United States
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I.Comparisons
a. Warren G. Harding is one of the most
forgettable presidents in the history of the United States. This is for a good
reason as Harding preferred a good game of cards, gambling, and women over his
responsibility as POTUS. Often regarded as one of the worst presidents, he
scored one place lower than Donald Trump himself in this recent survey
of several scholars.
i. According
to the same study as 1a, Franklin Pierce is, in fact, the worst POTUS
ever. Scoring lower than both Harding and Trump. Unlike Harding, Franklin did
not do just nothing, but absolutely negative things to push the United States
into its deadliest war ever. He indirectly killed hundreds and thousands of
people. I challenge PRO to prove that Trump has done anything worse than
this. Consider this, voters, imagine if your dad, your mom, or any close one
was ripped apart from you, and then brutally shot in a war. Now imagine what it
would feel like to feel that terrible feeling over 400,000 times
b. Richard Nixon resigned from office due to
scandals, becoming the first president ever to do that.
c. William Henry Harrison died after 31 days
into his presidency, after doing almost nothing.
d. George W. Bush’s presidency is marked with
bad spots, like 9/11, and the Great Recession of 2008.
e. Lyndon B. Johnson’s presidency led the
United States into the Vietnam War, one of the only wars the United States has
ever “lost” in.
f. Ronald Reagan is also very controversial, terribly
hated by the liberalists, and terribly loved by the conservatists.
II.Wrongdoings of Trump
a. Trump’s wrongdoings are relatively minor
compared to other presidents. Has he started a war? At the time of this
writing, no. Has he been involved in a scandal that cost him his presidency?
No. During the time of Trump’s presidency, has there been a terrible stock
crash, that made half the nation hom
i. Even
though Trump is not necessarily the best president of the United States, he is
definitely not the worst. A few failed casinos, a not so good economy, and bad
style, is again, not worse than the Civil or even Vietnam War.
b. Trump has also devoted a lot of his money
for his presidency,
losing a good 1-2 billion dollars. This means he honestly cares about his responsibility
as POTUS, unlike Warren G. Harding.
Thank you, VOTE CON, and I await PRO’s response.
Sorry I thought I wad arguing the other side
Round 2
PRO has conceded. I extend all arguments.
So, now that I got that aside, what are you doing outside of Debateart?

whoops
hmm? hmm?
Reagan is super controversial, he did tear down the Berlin wall though.
+1 RM Reagan will always be my second wurst, even as my first wurst alters
Nixon was, with Reagan closely behind.
Can I argue wurst president? He's so savagely sausage-y.
