To the contrary, in many of the cases there was clearly another motive for the choice of location. For example, 20 were workplace shootings, most of which involved perpetrators who felt wronged by employers and colleagues. Last September, when a troubled man working at a sign manufacturer in Minneapolis was told he would be let go, he pulled out a 9mm Glock and killed six people and injured another before putting a bullet in his own head. Similar tragedies unfolded at a beer distributor in Connecticut in 2010 and at a plastics factory in Kentucky in 2008.
Or consider the 12 school shootings we documented, in which all but one of the killers had personal ties to the school they struck. FBI investigators learned from one witness, for example, that the mass shooter in Newtown had long been fixated on Sandy Hook Elementary School, which he’d once attended. To the contrary, in many of the cases there was clearly another motive for the choice of location. You say shooters don't go shooting up places specifically because they are gun free zones. That is true. A shooter will not commit the act solely based on the fact that it is a gun free zone, however that is not what anyone is saying. All the attacks have happened on gun free zones, and to assume that that is not at least part of the decision process then you truly are ignorant.
A shooter will attack a school because it will get them the recognition they want, and it will cause chaos that they set out to ensue. Not only that but they recognize it is an easy target due to the fact that it is a gun free zone.
While I agree with you that places are not shot up merely based on the fact that they are gun free, it would be ignorant and naive to assume that that is not at least part of the decision process.

I guess you missed me saying I admit I started at a poor time. I am not whining, I just think it's funny that you're calling it an excuse that I decided to take my education more seriously than some online debate. Which is more important: An online debate that will virtually have no purpose in the long run OR training to get my pilots license so I can have a solid career when I graduate from college. I'll let you decide. Have a good day, chief
life is filed with coices i did not choice when m power went out for three days you choose to forfiet this debate, stop whining
I admit I started at a poor time. It's just funny how Bilbatard is calling it an excuse to care more about learning how to fly a plane then some online debate
Bettering yourself should always take priority over a hobby like this.
I'm more worried about passing my Stage 1: Pre-Solo Flight Exam than some debate that will ultimately do nothing in the long run for me nor you.
Did I start the debate at a poor time? Yeah probably. Is it an "excuse" to care more about my education than some online debate? No. It's reasonable.
In Singapore they beat you for littering.
do not make excuses, thats wont work later on in life learn now to accept respsibility or people wont take your seriously, and i know from experience so do as i say not as i du du du
Yeah chief sorry I forfeited but a bunch of stuff started happening in school so that kinda took priority. I'll respond to the next round but honestly my mind is elsewhere right now
no one targets a site because it is a gun free zone they are targeted for personal reasons , and many mass shooting begin in private homes and move out to schools and churches
Most shootings may occur in more private environments, but this debate is about "mass shootings".
i do not plagerize i always site m y sources that is slander! re trakt or i will suee
people do not target gun free x zones most shootings occur in private homes
How come more people hate Trump than hate elementary school students but elementary school students are targeted more? Could it be that one is a soft target because of liberals. Also I would reccomend not plagiarizing like you did. Voters typically frown upon it
Are you seriously going to start a brand new gun debate when you haven't even finished this gun debate with me yet?? https://web.archive.org/web/20190918011624/https://www.debateart.com/debates/1373/gun-control
