CHILD LABOUR! All countries should set their legal working age to 14

Firstly I would to say that this may first online debate ever, and I’m only 13 so please excuse any mistakes I make. Furthermore I hope the opponent accepts more political debates by me and challenges me to debate on political topics.

I believe that if MEDCs decreases their legal working age to 14, the poor families will benefit highly as their children will get the necessary education to many types of jobs, for example service jobs. In other words this will even eliminate the little poverty in the nation.

I have to admit that LEDCs will benefit more from this legal working age. This is because most LEDCs have a very low legal working age and because of this child labour is very high in such LEDCs. The government officials of these countries may argue that their countries economy depends on child labour but if some of these children let’s say 10% of children working below 14 in these countries leave their jobs and enroll in free government (I also believe that there should be free education in all countries) school, the country’s economy will increase immensely, because their will be more doctors, engineers, lawyers etc - therefore more many.

I believe that I have provided a short and valid argument so that many people read it, and I hope these people understand how this will affect all nations economy positively and I hope everyone votes pro.
