WW=world wide

Great Definition: of ability, quality, or eminence considerably above the normal or average.

Freedoms and standard of living.

According to the World Population Review, Canada is the 5th freest nation in the world, while Brazil I ranked 123rd of 162 countries.

Brazil has the13th highest homicide rate WW, but Canada sits at 151st WW.

Canada has the 17 highest standard of living, but Brazil is 63rd.

Canada is the 6th most innovative country WW, but Brazil is only 20th.

Canada has the 12th best education system but Brazil is 83rd WW.

Economy

Canada's GDP per capita is 46.124 thousand while Brazil's is 8.920 thousand.

Canada is the 18th largest tourist destination while Brazil is 45th WW.

Canada exports the 10th most WW but Brazil only ranks 25th.

Canada ranked 5th for soft power but Brazil sits at a mediocre 23rd

Military

Brazilian tanks and aircraft are largely from the 80s. Canadian troops have also seen action in Iraq and Afghanistan, but Brazil's military hasn't seen much action at all.

I assert that Canada is inherently not greater than Brazil.

The definition of 'great' cannot clearly apply to this, there's no singular metric to compare them on. Let's take this definition of greater instead:

greatness, illustriousness(noun)

the property possessed by something or someone of outstanding importance or eminence

I think that's a pretty relevant one to the resolution.

I am not kink-shaming here but this revolves heavily around BDSM. Canada is a type of nation that has a 'boy/girl sub' kink with the US being its kinky Daddy and the UK being its 'owner/master' on the side.

Boy/Girl
Littles (girls/boys) are submissive spirits that mix childlike innocence with naughty sexual curiosity. They long for a nurturing loving dominant who plays a guiding, almost parental role in their lives. While they require a softer approach to be dominated than most other submissives, their submission can go a lot deeper and sometimes rival those of slaves.
This isn't paedophilia, the kinks refer to roleplay and taken roles by people who are not minors.

I am going to explain now why Brazil is greater and that many of the stats Pro gives actually favour Brazil. Brazil is a severe Dom type but is fundamentally a brat tamer Daddy hybrid for South America.

Brat tamer
Brat tamers are, in essence, dominants who enjoy handling bratty submissives. They find disobedience a form of playfulness from the side of the submissive, rather than a form of rudeness. They will take no offence to it, but will still teach the sub a well deserved lesson (because, of course, that is why the bratty sub shows such behavior in the first place).

Daddy/Mommy
Daddies/Mommies take on a caretaker role in the relationship, being a guide as much a dominant. Daddies/Mommies dominate their little treasure submissives with an iron fist in a velvet glove: much cuddly and affectionate on the outside, while being as sturdy and hard on the inside as other dominants. Using subtle psychological mechanisms rather than brute power, they nurture their littles into obedience.
In both a Continental level and Intra-national level, the leadership of Canada and Brazil represent ends of the BDSM spectrum that imply Brazil is the 'greater one' and that Canada is more than okay with that.

Mariam westers definition of greatness Is better in my opinion as it is from a reputable source and is more broad and conducive to a productive exchange of ideas: the quality or state of being great (as in size, skill, achievement, or power).

Correct me if I misrepresent you, but you appear to think Canada is slave to America and Britain. Well, economically Brazil's "daddy" could be America or China based on who they import from.

However, I can take your argument two ways, literally or figuratively.

Well if I take it literally than I would say your argument is out of context. Your hierarchy is used in sexual settings, and autonomous states can't have intercourse with each other.

Figuratively arguing your point makes more sense. You say Canada is okay being dominated on a continental and intranational level. Note how you say intranational, as in occurring within one nation, in this case that nation is Canada. I fail to see how Canada is dominated inside of Canada itself. I concede Canada is dominated on a continental level by America while Brazil is more of brat tamer in South America seeing how they guide smaller, weaker nations.

Canada though isn't really okay with being dominated by Brazil. I even fail to see how Brazil dominates Canada, maybe Brazil is the brat tamer of South America, but not the America's. Canada's acheivements in education, freedoms, and millitary might should put it as a more impoosing force internationally. Also intranationally you could say Brazil is dominated by itself. It has a very violent populous when compared to Canada. This means Canada can keep itself in order, while Brazil can't dominate itself, letalone the America's.
