Description

Someone said (I won't state who) that Unrap Battles are troll debates, they aren't.

To set the rules straight:
Unrap is not a word but will not be used against someone for "grammatical mistakes"
I waive this round, just to test if this is going to be trolled or something

Troll debate definition.

Within the DebateArt user resources post:
https://www.debateart.com/forum/topics/346

Is a resource link relating to moderation, including precedents and definitions:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZqYSEOjJlTjFBlrodKEn5UeHBROyCMktyxoa3OWfIR8/mobilebasic

This contains the following definition.

Section B: Troll Debates

Subsection B1: Defining Troll Debates

A troll debate is any
  • Competition-style debate (e.g. rap battle, talent show, poetry competition)
  • Debate primarily designed to be humorous or facetious or containing primarily humorous or facetious content
  • Debate on a truism (e.g. "a bachelor is someone who is unmarried")
An unrap battle, given the definitions used in Dart, is  a battle to see who makes the worst rap[1], or insults themselves best [2]

As in both cases thus battle is a competition style debate, as well as containing primarily humorous or facetious content, this meets the criteria and definitions of debateart to be a troll debate.

Context

Given the reference to debates, and that my opponent references what appears to be another member: it is evident that my opponent is talking about what is a troll debate in the context of how that term is understood on Dart (as per above), and not any other context.

Conclusion:

Unrap battles clearly meet the definition of Troll debate as defined within dart. Thus the resolution is negated.
