Description
1 song per Round, vote on a combination of how good the songs are and how emotional they are etc.
Round 1
Vinnie Paz "Keep Movin' On" feat. Shara Worden - Official Video
He is speaking in first person but the song is about 3 different people he knows.
Beautiful emotional song, rest in peace Grimmie.
"Just A Dream" by Nelly - Sam Tsui & Christina Grimmie

Round 2
Sia - Bird Set Free
Much better if you have it a bit louder than you usually listen to music if it's in the background.
YT plain/official-still video for the audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrT_0J6m6y8
Optional fan-made video that combines the film blood diamonds with this songs fantastically:
May be taken down for copyright, who knows...
I've got my own Sia song to counter yours ;)
"She Wolf" by Sia and David Guetta
Round 3
That's fine, I think mine's more emotional than yours but when it comes to rap you are miles behind me, or so I believe. ;)
NF - Therapy Session
This might actually be my favourite emotional song, airplanes by rapper B.o.B.
"Airplanes" by B.o.B and Hayley Williams
Round 4
When We Were Young - Adele
All relevant links: http://smarturl.it/nhspac1
In case that goes down or whatever, here's the YT, Spotify and iTunes:
YT: https://youtu.be/DDWKuo3gXMQ?t=42 - timestamped URL helps you skip the intro scene
The Spotify and iTunes refer to an 'original' that is as acoustic as the live performance, so I don't see the difference. She has removed the original from her YT to force you to get the iTunes or Spotify Premium etc. but has left up that live performance.
Adelle is an obvious choice, good pick. Adelle is the princess of emotional music, Lana Del Ray is the queen though.
"Hope is a Dangerous Thing" by Lana Del Ray
Round 5
I will just say I don't agree at all to you putting Adele beneath Lana Del Ray at emotional music but I concede it's a very subjective thing to rank.
Bugzy Malone - Run Ft. Rag'n'Bone Man
YT: https://youtu.be/otv0Ikaudp4?t=50 - timestamped like the last Round for the same reason.
"King" by Lauren Aquilina
Cheers for the battle Madman, let's have one on classical music at some point.
Fuck off. :)
It’s on my list.
Would appreciate a vote from you guys, cheers.
Would appreciate a vote from you if you've got the time during exam season, you're probably the one that is the most interested in music on this website
A 6, it’s super catchy and the rap is good, but it’s too vulgar for my tastes, it’s not super emotional though either

Madchild - Death Race
What would you rate this song in an emotional music battle?
I’ll do that later today
thanks for the vote (would enjoy you to vote on my acoustic music battle: https://www.debateart.com/debates/983)
I was aware there'd be three fundamental types of voter here (excluding trolls with sinister motive). You were one who went for the type of song and how it pleased your ears. The first song was specifically for a more emotional-music voter with enough to not hit me with a 1/10 for a music-taste voter.
The third type of voter would be a 'how amazing' the overall song is, in my opinion. You were a type 2. Type 1 would be an emotional depth voter.
Let us hope the audience likes the songs of both of us.
good luck.
Oops, meant to write "Adele"
Bump.
