Spiritualism is pretty organized now thought it's not tied to a book or set of holy texts. 

Occult, Witchcraft and Paranormal all labels people often use when they don't know where else to put things.  Most of these also exist outside religion. To me Occult would be high magick or ceremonial magic, alchemy where a teacher/ mentor / student relationship is needed to progress. I wouldn't call Oujia boards, tarot , meditation or spell work occult. I wouldn't but most religions under occult unless they have high magic practices like Kabbalah or Golden Dawn. But again it's all personal experience as far as if it works or doesn't. 

I have to agree. Sacred geometry has more to do with shape than distance. 

There isn't a list of religions in the forum is there? Satanist can post there. 

Since people's relationship with their god or gods is personal then most will have personal reasons. Not really sure a best reason can be created. Especially since science isn't part of the equation.

Well I am not a Christian, Jew or Muslim. When I read the Bible it explains that blood covers sin. Like if sin is black spot on your body the blood of the sacrifice covers you in blood making the spots invisible. Jesus is the last sacrifice. So if your soul is a garden: Karma is when your weeds and flowers are the same or your flowers are better. Christianity says Jesus pulls weeds but he doesn't. His blood covers them so you only see the flowers. My religion doesn't have good, evil or sin.

Personally I think mass shootings are the new serial killers. Used to be you could criss cross the nation killing at will and go undetected for years. Now with cameras, phones, satellite and what not it's harder to do. Most serial killers are caught between one and three deaths. It's why all of the killers are males. 

A mass shooting is more than two deaths in one incident. So a murder suicide is a mass shooting. Seems to be a number padding system. 

What is the criteria for that? How do the find the information to determine that? How do you legislate what someone might do? 

No one talks about getting rid of cars after DUI's, no one talks about getting rid of cars after people ram citizens, or airplanes into buildings, or guns after drive bys. Seems guns are fine till a mass shooting then they become bad. If a person strangles another why don't we cut off their hands?
