Don't have a favorite and there is no politician I "look up to", but to name a few that I like: AOC (whom I've voted for twice), Bernie, Adam Schiff, and Jaime Raskin come to mind...
If I had to pick a republican Romney, and I guess Chris Christy.
And Kim il-Sung and Kim Jong il.
They are all currently serving, since popular Korea is a Necrocracy Communist Monarchy.

Absolutely true. We act as if the president of the US is actually the president of Earth, especially on the political right.
sherrod brown and gretchen whitmer, ohio congressman and michigan governor. these guys dont have a lot of name noteriety and haven't gotten into enough policy specifics to know for sure that they're the best, but from what i see i like em. republicans, chris christie, though i guess i think he's not currently elected to anything.
i love adam schiff but he kind of made a fool of himself when he was going after trump.
no one can beat the style of obama. it's possible to beat him on substance, but style i can't see anyone doing better

Politicians by virtue of their office are scumbags and liars. The question proposed is akin to asking, "who's one favorite con-artist?" I suppose that can still be answered, especially if they're good at their craft. But currently serving, no--politicians today are more incompetent than ever.

Indeed. Sorry about that. It’s just that I have a rather low opinion of US politicians, and I wasn’t interested in hearing the names of people I never heard of as a way for Americans to creatively sidestep the intent of my question.
That said, I am often surprised at how obsessed people of other nations are with US politics. I guess this is our world, and you just live in it : )
