It is better to die like a vegan than live like a murderer

Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova 'dies of starvation' after decade of only eating raw fruit and vegetables

She claimed that life is pointless, but there is purpose in realizing that life is pointless.

It's not the vegan diet why she died, it's she had not drunk any water for six years.

Well, starving oneself kills one, being a serial killer kills more.

The woman Loreen Dinwiddie lived to the age of 109, including 88 years she stuck to a strict vegan diet. 

Thats how the media reports it.

Media says three things in same article:

1. Cause of death is still being investigated

2. She died from vegan diet

3. She died from some deadly disease

Its a corrupt media at work, contradicting itself.

They want to twist the truth to confuse readers. 

They want to impose their own views.

Article is obviously terribly misleading.

True dat!

Not exactly a resounding PR success for veganism is it.

I think the media wants people to 'look at them,

More than change people's views in this instance,

Catchy headline, more watchers, more money.

I think that FLRW's right,

Vegan diet can be healthy enough,

Just sounds that Zhanna Samsonova took her diet to strange extremes.

Veganism is morally superior. We all die, but not all of us kill animals.

I am a vegetarian myself. I like cheese. Cheese is murder, I know. Its my personal guilt. My parents forced me to eat meat as a kid. Later as adult, I rejected meat. I literally dont know why people eat meat. It tastes like shit and its hard to chew.

I am not starving on my vegetarian diet. In fact, I gained weight. I am slightly overweight. Bananas make you fat.

I'd imagine farming kills many animals,

Pests such as rodents, insects, birds, get exterminated,

Or simply caught up killed in process of farming, such as mice in a thresher machine gathering wheat.

Still, there's something to say for trying,

And maybe animal deaths of farming are less than animal deaths by herding animals,

Perhaps less intentional,

Perhaps less 'advanced animals killed in farming, more often.

Thats in case of vegetable and grain farming.

In case of fruit, there are usually no machines involved.

Fruit and nuts grow on a tree. Plus, they are more nutritious than vegetables and grains.

Also, animal farming often depends upon regular grain farming.

Chickens need to be fed with grains.

Eh, lesser evil, greater evil and what not.

Also, I need to say that most vegetables taste like shit.

The advantages to trees is not just lack of machines.

When the soil is undisturbed, you literally get extra wild food growing around trees, such as dandelions and other wild edibles.

So with trees, you simply get much more. Plus, it takes like 10 minutes to plant a tree and it can produce food for decades.

Carrots taste alright to me, corn's tasty.

Fruit 'is handy.

What about the 'human animal harmed in the acquiring of the fruit?

Low paid workers, people working because they 'have to as most humans need money.

Cannibalism isn't a proper diet these days. Hasn't been for over a few thousand years. 

Maybe a soccer team that crashed in the mountains and a few others had to rely on it until rescue arrived. 

So, I am unclear as to what the hell you're even talking about here. Please clarify.

Veganism is a first world concept.

Vegetarianism was first adopted by monks taking vows of poverty in ancient India. It is not a luxury fad for everyone.

I obviously meant vegan road kill.

As omnivores don't necessarily need to road kill.

You can go to jail in some states for murdering protected trees.
