I have started my meditation practice again. It has been a few years. I am hoping to get to a state of consciousness where I can reach God.

Ommm.
Your medication would get ya closer to god then ya meditation would wouldn't it?
I can't for a sec fathom meditation, my minds a racer. But ummmmm,
Hey jane?
Jane?
I suspect Atheists have trouble talking about hypnotizing i mean hypnosis.
I suspect atheists don't believe people can be hypnotized.
Then they think. Well maybe some people can be hypnotized.
Then they think . But i doubt i could be hypnotized .
But good luck with your meditation.
Tell us about the spot were you like to do this meditation. So like i can give it a shot.
Obviously a quiet spot , but is it good like
In the middle of the bush in nature.
In your wardrobe.?
Good day.
What is meditation to you?

Most Buddhist are atheist and have no issue practicing mediation. Idiot. And your sexual remarks are borderline assault.

@Mopac
It is a way to try to connect with God.

@Mopac
Cross ya legs over each other hold ya hands in a certain way and go om.
I swear i never meant nothing else.
I can be childish but i wasn't like pretending i was using the word masterbating insted of meditation.
Thats effing beyond childish.
Sorry mopac that was directed at polly.
But were you aluding to this to mopac.
And is meditation what i explained it to be..

@Deb-8-a-bull
why are you such an ass?
Do you ever do guided meditations.
-->
@Polytheist-Witch
No I never have. I do my own versions of meditation
-->
@janesix
Whatever works best is the way to go. I have done a few that paid off big time but if you aren't comfortable it will not work.
-->
@janesix
It is a way to try to connect with God.
The only way you could know that is if God told you himself, but if God told you already, then you've connected with God without using meditation. Hence, you don't need meditation to connect with God. And of course, one shouldn't need it, one should be able to simply connect with God.
God's silence on this point is deafening.
-->
@Goldtop
Some might not need it. I do.
-->
@janesix
Who told you that you need it? And, who told you that you can just make up your own meditation practice?
-->
@Goldtop
why can't I?
-->
@Goldtop
What do you mean, who told me?
-->
@janesix
Who told you that mediation is a way to connect with God and why you need it?
Or, are you just guessing?
-->
@Goldtop
No one told me. I know from experience.
-->
@Goldtop
Who told you that everyone should think the same way you do?
How dare this goldtop character ask a question or two on topic.
Rubble Rubble Rubble.
-->
@janesix
Ah! You're guessing, thanks.
-->
@IlDiavolo
Who told you that everyone should think the same way you do?
You just did.

@janesix
I still practice meditation techniques. I find they promote calm that has utility in many asspects of life.

@janesix
I hope you find what you're looking for, jane.I have started my meditation practice again. It has been a few years. I am hoping to get to a state of consciousness where I can reach God.
What's your usual routine? I find I have to put on headphones and play some kind of steady repetitive noise to really lull myself into a more trancelike state, and then I can begin to meditate, because in complete silence it's a lot harder for me to pull it off. But I'm a beginner.

@Castin
It's not important. I have found that you don't need meditation. All you need is sincerity in your heart.
-->
@Goldtop
With all due respect, I think you're [really] too big to behave like a child.
Consider being in one's shoes at least for a moment, you will find that everyone has different motivations and point of views.

I use my username which is normal. Didn't you ever sign any message, post, or email? I believe you did considering how old you are.

Typical answer of the cretin that doesn't want to admit his errors.
