Do you like conditional syllogism?

It is very simple form of logic, and its also cute.

Let me give you an example.

If it rains today, then I will bring an umbrella.
It rains today.
I will bring an umbrella.

Let me give you another example

If prices went up, I will buy less.
Prices went up.
I will buy less.

Or in the form of an argument

If gay people arent harming anyone, then gay people should not be harmed.
Gay people arent harming anyone.
Gay people should not be harmed.

So it is simple despite the complicated name.

Conditional syllogism is useful in an argument, as it lets you establish a link between two sentences.

If sentence 1 is true, then sentence 2 is true.
Sentence 1 is true.
Sentence 2 is true.

When talking about things regarding future:

For example,

If causing homosexuality to be illegal harms people, then homosexuality should not be illegal.
Causing homosexuality to be illegal harms people.
Homosexuality should not be illegal.

Yep all well and good.

Until I gave you a perfect example.

Though your obvious need to justify homosexuality is currently very significant.

From Kim Yong Un to God to homosexuality in rapid succession.

A Korean Christian with an ever widening closet door.
