Cities are almost always synonymous with a single county (via city limits containing 90% of the county's population), in other cases cities are special areas which take on the same role as a county. Such as in Baltimore, which is not a county, but has an elected DA.

You tried to claim that  democrat cities aren't run by democrats (including the justice system), you were completely disproved. Will you admit it?

California has 2 types of state courts, trial courts (also called “superior courts”) and appellate courts, made up of the Courts of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.

These trial courts are part of the STATE Department of Justice. They are broken down by county. Each county gets a State District Court.

So a “county” court is just the state Superior court for that district. California has 58 Superior Courts, one for each county in the state but they are State courts.

Get it genius?

If you live in a rural state, you may need 2 or more counties to make up a State District Court because the population is so small.

No, that’s a lie. Are you stupid? Have you not learned anything from this exchange? The city does not have an attorney or a court that prosecutes violent crimes. 
They may prosecute some misdemeanors but mostly they advise the city government and handle lawsuits. They sure as shit are not prosecuting felonies like murder and rape.

District courts belong to the STATE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE.  The District Courts are state courts. The District Attorney does not answer to the Mayor.  The State Attorney General ensures the laws of the state are uniformly and adequately enforced.

Just like the people in a Congressional District elect a Congressman, the people in a District Court boundary (usually the same boundaries as an county)elect a District Attorney. But neither of these elected offices are “local offices” A congressman is Federal and a District Attorney is a STATE OFFICE HOLDER you moron. So the state is responsible for prosecuting violent crimes in a city
