Francis quoted the Catechism of the Catholic Church in saying gay people must be welcomed and respected, and should not be marginalized or discriminated against. “We are all children of God, and God loves us as we are and for the strength that each of us fights for our dignity,” Francis said, speaking to the AP in the Vatican hotel where he lives.
https://www.yahoo.com/news/ap-interview-pope-francis-homosexuality-070056369.html

WRONG hell bound Pope Francis!

When Pope Francis says that being gay is not a crime, he is directly going against the inspired words of Jesus as being God as shown below:

1.  "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)

2. “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,” (1 Corinthians 6:9)

3.  "For this cause God gave them up into vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet . . . Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them" (Romans 1:26-27)

4. "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;" (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5)

Is there any Catholic within this Religion Forum taking Pope Francis position over Jesus the Christ as biblically shown above?  Ask yourselves, where does Pope Francis have the authority to usurp Jesus’ true words in the Bible as shown above???!

But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!” (Luke 11:28)

As if the disgusting PEDOPHILE priest situation wasn’t enough, now “Pope on a Rope” Francis is overstepping Jesus’ true words concerning gays in not being a crime relative to the Bible, BLASPHEME!

The Bible has no support for homosexuality.
However, hating homosexuals today is more difficult than it was before.

Zed,

YOUR QUOTE OF QUESTION:  "A Crime and Wrong are variable concepts Bro."

The bottom, bottom and bottom line is the biblical axiom that the inept "Pope on a Rope Francis," is going directly against the direct words of Jesus as God, as explicitly shown in the Bible passages that I have shown, period!

Undoubtedly Bro, if your bottom bottom bottom line is the biblical/ex-Pope comparison.

Though if like me you give little credence to either the Pope or the bible, then you tend to take more interest in the variability of concepts.

And don't mention bottoms to Roman Catholics.

Zed,

YOUR QUOTE RELATING TO CATHOLIC PRIESTS FAVORITE BODY PART RELATIVE TO INNOCENT CHILDREN: "And don't mention bottoms to Roman Catholics."

Subsequent to hell bound Catholic priests bad press in buggering innocent children, you would think that the Catholic Church would come up with a new term for "RECTORY," which is the house that the priest lives in near the church!

Wow.

1. What kind of crime are you talking about? Because the word crime identifies violations to civil law.

2. Jesus says love your enemy. Do you marginalize people you love?

See if pope is wrong about what he said, then you are saying we must marginalize and maybe even attack peope who sin, yes?

How are you supposed to love a person you attack or kill?

3. Why are you quoting old law? Christianity repeatidly claim that old laws in leviticus are not to be followed because Jesus changed our obligations.

4. What book are you using/referincing?
"God’s enemies; insolent, haughty, vainglorious; inventive in wickedness, disobedient to their parents; 31 without prudence, without honour, without love, without loyalty, without pity."

Ah so people without love are god's ememies?

Further in romans we can read this""
. 23 All alike have sinned, all alike are unworthy of God’s praise.[9] 24 And justification comes to us as a free gift from his grace, through our redemption in Christ Jesus. 25 God has offered him to us as a means of reconciliation, in virtue of faith, ransoming us with his blood. Thus God has vindicated his own holiness, shewing us why he overlooked our former sins .""
Would people who are gay not deserve to be welcomed to God? Jesus died for them just as he dd for you.

Also why are we reading that a person worthy of death is to be dealth with by humans? What right do you obtain as a sinner to cast the first stone and kill?

5. You have failed to show Jesus' teaching let alone any teaching related to christianity. Instead you take individual sentences (some times fragments of sentences) and ignore related materials within the bible itself. You should meditate on why you are so rude.

WHAT?  “Pope on a Rope” Francis said the Catholic Church's thousand-year-old practice of celibacy could be changed!

The “celibacy” has already been changed with ungodly pedophile priests were buggering innocent little boys in the churches RECTORY!

When will the primitive Catholic faith ever stop embarrassing themselves?

hey-yo,

YOUR BIBLE IGNORANT AND STUPID QUOTE: "3. Why are you quoting old law? Christianity repeatidly claim that old laws in leviticus are not to be followed because Jesus changed our obligations."

WRONG Bible fool!  Jesus and I get so sick and tired of blatantly Bible ignorant fools like YOU!

I am sorry, but Jesus and I disagree with the long standing erroneous notion over the millennia's that we are not under the Old Testament laws anymore, of which, Jesus' inspired words stated we are: "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled" (Matthew 5:18).  GET IT?

Therefore, at the time of Jesus, He likened the continuance of the Mosaic Laws, all 613 of them, to the permanence of heaven and earth as shown in the passage above. Has heaven and earth passed away yet, no they have not!

The "fulfilled" part of Matthew 5:18 and the permanence of heaven and earth passing away so as to NOT follow the Old Testament anymore, is described in this passage: “But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare” (2 Peter 3:10)

Therefore, when Jesus said that not one jot or tittle will pass from the 613 Old Testament Mosaic laws till heaven and earth pass away, as described in Matthew 5:18, and within 2 Peter 3:10, where the heavens and earth do pass away, is the prerequisite to not having to follow the 613 Old Testament laws anymore, is with accordance of Jesus’ Second Coming which has not happened yet, therefore we are still under the Old Testament 613 Mosaic laws you bible ignorant fool!!!

Maybe you would be more comfortable in a Children's Religion Forum, where you would easily not be made the Bible fool so quickly, yes?

Oh cool. Thanks. I joined that church's social circle to check out what they say about the same topic.

Ok so if we read a little bit more of the passage you provided we can see this. ::
Do not think that I have come to set aside the law and the prophets; I have not come to set them aside, but to bring them to perfection...

What is your take on it?

Oh and are you Christian? If you are, do you sacrafice animals?
