Other peoples traditions are not necessarily your traditions, and vice versa.
For example, for some abortion is a tradition and for others it is not.
Also leaking is also a tradition.
A tradition can be anything that becomes a reasonably commonplace occurrence.
Or just something that an individual does habitually.

How is that obvious? It is just as reasonable to presume it was a republican. There was a report that one of the justices who voted to overturn Roe was considering changing their mind and the leak was to pressure that individual to stick with their original position

There’s an interesting theory that someone on the conservative side actually leaked it. The reason for this would be to pressure the squishes on the court not to back down and soften the decision. If they were leaning towards doing that, doing so after there’s a public uproar and severe pressure would make them less likely to do so. Changing the opinion after it had been leaked would prove that the court is not independent but answers to political pressure. I don’t know if I believe it but it’s an interesting theory
