Me personally, I mean this seriously. If Americans go and make Mexico City anglophone, that would be based. Let’s make the entire Western Hemisphere just like America. If all the Latin American capitals learn English, it would mean more migrants to the US will know it; making the legalization process easier.

And convert the Pope to Islam whilst you're at it.

American culture, traditions and heritage.
Are largely based upon someone else's culture, tradition and heritage.
You haven't been around long enough to have formed a unique culture, traditions and heritage.
Well, there's school shootings I suppose.

@TheUnderdog
I thought everyone is learning English as long as they have considerable education. This makes literally no difference.

Soooo this makes Mexicans xenophobes ?

Exactly.

"You haven't been around long enough to have formed a unique culture, traditions and heritage." How long does one "Have to be around" To recognize the culture traditions and heritage of the country they live in? Also are Mexicans xenophobes? No one seems to want to answer yes or no. What they are saying meets the definition of xenophobe exactly.

@zedvictor4
I want to make the world English speaking so I can travel anywhere and have people understand me(plus American soft power). There is no point in making the Pope Islamic.

@sadolite
Also are Mexicans xenophobes?
some are and some are not
a "simple yes" is false in this case
a "simple no" is also false in this case
perhaps you're unfamiliar with the concept of "a loaded question"

@TheUnderdog
Perhaps you don't get irony.
I'm not going to explain.

@sadolite
OK.
So the U.S. has developed functional commonalities, so lets call that tradition.
Though heritage is still largely derived from overseas ancestry.
Put them together and you have a culture, I suppose.
But I also suppose that it's fair to say that culture is as culture does.
The battlefields of Ukraine will quickly develop a culture of animosity, revenge, violence and cruelty.
And are Mexicans xenophobes?
For sure....Some will be and some won't.....Same as everywhere else.
Largely as a result of formative conditioning and social deprivation, breeding jealousy and resentment.
No doubt xenophobia also exists within the U.S. and the U.K. between ethnic communities that still cling on to old heritage, traditions and cultures.

I am familiar with a loaded question but I am just following established political doctrine.
So Mexico gets a pass. LOL
