Now it's getting fun.

I made a post on here a while back, it's actually my argument against that doomsday preppers second amendment argument you guys have, but it's interesting here:

It's my opinion that tyranny is a third world phenomenon only these days. Capitalism has killed it in the first world. We're all bought and sold by Apple and friends now, for better or worse, and it's just far too delicate an infrastructure to go moving armies over. There's no statesman can offer anything against what we have anymore, the lever of tyranny is scarcity.
What do you guys think? Will the Russian people choose Big Macs over Putin?

Also if they do, is that well regulated militia idea proven pure nonsense?

"McDonald's, Coke, and Starbucks pulling out of Russia"

Ironically, this will only make the Russians healthier, (Joke)

I don't think Russians will choose Big Mac over Putin,
Though they 'might choose a different idea of morality, above Putin's course of morality.

Couple of my family members believe the Oligarchs will abandon Putin,
But I think rich people are sometimes patriots,
As well as sometimes not 'so powerful as their wealth 'seems.
Though to some people opposing Putin 'is their idea of patriotism.

"Also if they do, is that well regulated militia idea proven pure nonsense?" badger
What do you mean?

Russia is winning more than people think. Pornhub has blocked russian users. Slop food and soy drinks are pulling out of Russia. Western banks and 600% interest rates are pulling out. Good time to be a Russian

The principle value of this move is quiet but unmistakable pro-Western propaganda.  In a country where Putin has announced up to 15 years sentences for anti-war protesters or for supporting Western sanctions or confirming Western war reporting, suddenly removing all these popular Western franchises confirms the war  and the crisis Putin denies for the uninformed and misinformed.

There are 847 McDonalds in Russia.  I don't know how popular they are or what they represent to Russians but I once visited a McDonald's on Grafton St. and was surprised by how popular it seemed.

I think this is well beyond propaganda. This is taking away the Russian people's lives from them. What their lives were then, who knows, but still.

This is the cost of war for the first world. Russia is now paying it.

Can't they make their own cheeseburgers, sodas, and such?

Fanta is an orange soda drink. It was created in Germany in 1940. Fanta was created during World War II in Nazi Germany by the German Coca Cola (GmbH) bottling company. Because of the war, there was no shipping between Nazi Germany and the United States.
