With everything going on between Russia and Ukraine, Just wondering how many people think this may or may not spark another World War? And Why do you think your stance is correct? Someone that I care about very much, already told me they are going to war if needed. I am worried about this person. But I have to support their decision because I love them. Let me know what you guys think.

I think this mostly depends on how long Putin is allowed to live. If Putin wants WWIII he is in a position to demand one but Russia is not well positioned to last long, nuclear or no and Putin is not likely to remain on top for much longer. Sounds like most of the Russian military and intelligence and oligarchy was left out of this decision to invade Ukraine and much of Russia's power structure is currently considering how to kill the goose while maintaining the supply of golden eggs.
The way I see it, Russia's allies are doing so put of cowardice and now so many are against Russia that being neutral has actually flipped around to letting Russia ultimately implode and lose.
This means it is not likely to evolve into wider war but instead to revert to severe peace.
The oligarchs will pincer Putin with severe pressure to pull out, thanks to the economic warfare. It is a matter of time and other nations joining the boycott.

I dont think Putin is willing to risk direct US involvement. This war will probably either 1) end within the next 90-180 days when most major Ukrainian cities are captured from a major escalation in Russian aggression, or 2) bog Russia down in another war of attrition, much like the Soviet unions's war in Afghanistan. In either case, NATO won't be putting it's troops on the front to kill Russians.
There will most likely be no world war

There weren't really World Wars previously.
That's just how things were recorded for Western Posterity.
There were some very big wars for sure, that sadly drew a lot of poor suckers in from around the globe......But chiefly centred around old European political machinations......Just as we see today.....Europe and Russia still wallowing in the past.....The similarities between Vlad and Adolf's states of mind, are obvious.
And for sure, the Japs had their own little dig.
It all made for great patriotic films though.

As long as we have some 200 plus or minus nations, the world will always be at war.
China is backing Russia and going to assist them financially with banking credit cards etc.
Cyber war has been going for many years now. See USA's infection of Iranian uranium processors.
See USA for many years sending special OP's around the world.
Desperate people take desperate actions.
India >< Pakistan
China/Russia >< Rest of the world
Japan >< Korea
Indonesia >< ?
Humanity is at war with itself, and they have just not come to the realization, that, for long term survival human existence on Earth will have to be an all-for-one and one-for-all spiritually based mentality.

Well, there are no qualifications for such a moniker. If we applied a reasonable standard such as "war fought on 6 continents and 3 oceans" then the 7 Years War (that we call the French and Indian War) was the first World War rapidly followed by the War of the American Revolution which was the Second World War. I agree that the the War of 1914-18 was probably not quire a World War but the Rise of the Axis would certainly be World War 3.
I think for twenty years after 1918, people all over just called it the Great War and swore they'd never see its like again but when WW2 surpassed the Great War it felt feeble to call it Great War 2 so the old war got a refit and a recontextualization as a prequel to cataclysm.

Well, Nazism was Doc.
And what it became far exceeded it's beginnings.
Though nowadays we can repurpose the word to represent any nationalistic/isolationist/racially divisive mind set.
Ring any bells Doc.
Though not suggesting for one minute that you were ever a member of the National Socialist German Workers Party.
And for sure, Ukrainians were not held in high esteem after "WW2".
But some people learn, change and move forwards.
And some people learn, stay the same and continue to live in the past.
Such is human reliance on the transfer of old data.

Maybe you are reading into the phrase a bit too much.
When one country on one side of the planet gets involved in warfare on another side of the planet, that makes it a "world war" as it impacts all other nations across the planet.
