So, I have debated through many ways throughout my life, but I am unfamiliar with the concept of an acceptance round. I am requesting help and an explanation for acceptance rounds due to my upcoming debates in the Febuary Debate Tournament. Any help is appreciated.

On debate.org, debates were never locked in until the accepting participant had posted something for Round 1, this led to many using Round 1 merely for 'acceptance'.

Yes and on Debate.org it was also where the instigator would put definitions that the other agreed to upon acceptance but here it has no bearing because that should be in the debate's long description if it's to be agreed.

Acceptance rounds are generally being eliminated due to on this website, debates can have descriptions. Back in DDO, the people who owned the sites never added a description feature so the first round argument served as descriptions. There have been many instances where no arguments are provided on the first round but only descriptions, so it is polite for the acceptor to just say "I accept" as a placeholder to let the instigator start.
Unless the instigator clearly says that the challenger starts first and does not need to say anything the last round. These types of debates are pretty common back in DDO but due to the implementation of the description section it has become almost obsolete.

So why do you think airmax included them if they're obsolete?
It's the style we were familiar with.
