The small group stood mostly in silence as the jet bound for the western continent was readied. Two of them stood apart from the rest, saying their final farewells.

“I hope you will keep in contact, my new friend. Ah… I believe I heard the others call you 'two'?”

The other smirked at the hesitation at referring to another as a number.

“Code names for everyone in our cell. We call each other by numbers from a list of our names in our safehouse. Security reasons mostly.”

The recent rescuee simply nods at this as the engines of the jet roared to life. They lean in for a final discreet word as the others board.

“Watch all your friends closely. Our group was betrayed from within. Hegemony spies are patient, and trained to play the long game.”

With these final words the former prisoners set out on their flight west.

Mission Two Result: Success
Spy score: 1/3
Resistance score: 1/3

Higher-ups in the Hegemony military are still feeling the political backlash from the most recent mission. Many in the upper classes have taken the arrests as a flagrant violation of the Rights of the Nobility and due to the success of the widely-publicized jailbreak some have become emboldened enough to speak out against it. The hegemon herself has ordered a number of investigations into the matter and several high ranking military officers have already been forced into early retirement or replaced in their command positions as a direct result.

One man that stands to benefit from the chaos in part due to his condemnation of the arrests from the beginning is Colonel Reeford, a first generation baron in command of the Northeastern Militarized Zone. Reeford will be present at a conference to discuss incorporating the zone into the Hegemony as a full province, which would allow him to seek a more prestigious command elsewhere now that some positions have opened up. While provincial status would guarantee a better quality of life for the residents in the zone it would also allow the Hegemony to redeploy forces in the zone to other areas across the continent, something that many in the Alliance of New Hope believe would be devastating to their long-term plans. The next mission is to disrupt this conference, kidnap Colonel Reeford, and transport him to an Alliance safehouse for interrogation.

The first mission leader for this mission is Earth. Four players are needed for the next mission.

Player list:

1) Earth
2) IlikePie5
3) Oromagi
4) RationalMadman
5) SupaDudz
6) Whiteflame

I suggest Supa because Oro practically outed as Spy last round at the end.

WTF do you mean?! Oro didn't, Supa did.

Oro dumbtold, Supa literally used a team guaranteed to fail.

Also I thought it was

2-3-3-4*-4

Now, I realise that's for 7.

This 2-3-4 means I made a crucial error in voting 'yes' to the second team suggested when I should have played hardball to get myself onto the 3.

Whatever.

They've both made strange choices. I'm not sure why Supa would have picked a team guaranteed to fail, but unless he's actively trolling us, that move doesn't make any sense. My guess is that he saw that we were going to vote against whatever he provided and chose a team that he knew wouldn't pass muster just to get our collective goats. Whether that's a Spy move or something else is unclear.

I also can't explain why Oro decided to vote no on that last setup. I get that he had previously stated that he disagreed with it, but anyone reading the previous posts would know that my decisions were automatically going through. Can't say that makes him an obvious Spy, but it definitely doesn't do anything to help my perception of him.

if they both were absolute morons as Res and you actually are the spy here, we really are totally screwed as you can easily frame now but that's absolutely their own incompetence to blame.

Why would Oro vote no to the team of you me and him, if he's spy? It was perfect for him.

Why would Oro be voted no by Earth hammering it twice?

He didn't need to sab even, he could slowplay if he feared being caught out.

It doesn’t matter. If Supa is the spy he’s forced to play a Spy card here, otherwise we win with us 3 again

What kind of reasoning is that?

I want to put Oro on the team, I will vote no to all Supa teams. If that results in Supa getting veto power and putting Earth on the team, that's your own issue.

Why does it matter? Game is solved either way. If either Supa or Oro are Spies and play Resistance it’s game over

I have already in this thread and the one before. No further explanation is required.

Will you like to explain to me how Supa suggests that team and acts as useless as he has if he's Resistance?

I’m just saying game is solved either way. If Supa is Spy he’s forced to play a Spy card here. If he plays resistance, it’s game over with us 3 again. Same thing for Oro.
