Apologies hold more weight after time and consistent effort has proven the previous depiction of the person as no longer fitting who they are.
Prove to us you are now 'saner' and the 'insane moments' will indeed then be able to be apologised for.
It is why I personally don't understand the idea of discipline for adolescents and youth where we make them say 'sorry' after they did something wrong immediately following the punishment. This is creating a person who understand how to avoid punishment in the future, not who understand what being sorry actually is meant to be.
Be 'sorry' within yourself but don't hope for people to really believe it until you've proven with your actions that you've changed. I understand why saying sorry matters, just giving you a tip within yourself that both can help make guilt a healthy emotion and help your apologies be fruitful exercises.
For instance, say 'I'm sorry about how I used to be that way' if it ever happens to come up after a while of you changing your ways. That kind of apology actually holds weight, some will never accept your apology though and that's just life. It's also why I resent being famous if I were ever offered to be it. The world of fame is unforgiving as hell, every mistake becomes 'who you really are' and all the good moments are considered you being fake. Avoid fame.

I went a month with sleeping less than four hours a night. I was extremely manic. It happens.
I threw a way a year's research and work. I am starting over with scraps.

No. False narratives are concepts, that can omplement occupied space reality in every way, yet still be a false narrative.
1} Absolute truths complement occupied space reality and true in every way. Ex we cannot build a regular/symmetrical and convex polyhedron, beyond the known five, in all of eternal existence.
2} I tell you that a sixth regular/symmetrical made of methane and convex polyhedra exists in Neptune's atmosphere. Yes Neptune exists, yes Neptune has a atmosphere , however, there is no such sixth regular/symmetrical and convex polyhedron in Neptunes atmosphere.
So #2 is true in every way except for the inviolate { absolute truth }.
Meta-space/Spirit-1, mind/intellect/concepts can be abolute truth, relative truth, false narrative, as I stated in prior post to you ergo trinary subset.
