.." Health authorities in the West African nation of Guinea confirmed a case of Marburg virus disease on August 9, in the southern Gueckedou prefecture, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

...This is the first time this virus, which causes a highly infectious hemorrhagic fever similar to EbolaTrusted Source, has been detected in West Africa.

....“We applaud the alertness and the quick investigative action by Guinea’s health workers. The potential for the Marburg virus to spread far and wide means we need to stop it in its tracks,” Dr. Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa, said in a statement. “We are working with the health authorities to implement a swift response that builds on Guinea’s past experience and expertise in managing Ebola, which is transmitted in a similar way.”....

Coincidentally:

I just made the light hearted comment elsewhere, that GOD is a virus.

Are you suggesting that this might not be too far from the truth?

No way Ho'se

God = Universe ergo these two are synonyms God/Universe =  most wholistic, finite set of occupied space is Universe/God.

Not sure why you would think that I suggest a virus is God, Zed

Yeah but if you think about it, it's a pretty good idea in terms of material evolution and species development....(Post universal collapse and re-initiation.)

Not necessarily the GOD principle, but the GOD of life.

Initiator of biologic life, perhaps, since the individual virus they have either RNA, or DNA, never both. So  maybe Sputnik variant has DNA and Girus had RNA, and the merged to become first biologic life cell

Not necessarily the GOD principle, but the GOD of life.
Well some scientists believe RNA lead to DNA  led to protein. This is well known dogma and more like an initial linear stepping stone of life, not a more wholistic God, but I get your drift.

I have a good book ---The ' Touchstone of life '. 1990's ? Lowenstien--  of various scenarios of what would need to occur to create biologic life, from where before there was none.

HIs conclusion involved a sticking point, wherein more energy was needed to leap to the next stepping stone, but and energy aquired to make the next leap was being used to maintain { sustain } the integrity  of animate cell-lie organsim.

I really need to read the book again, cause he mentions how there is four kinds of spirals involve in a biologic cell and not just the famous double helix..

Will also need to watch the Girus vid again, as it so very informative about so many basics.

The Touchstone of Life, yes an excellent book. It is one reason I am a Simulationist.

FLWR, my error

It was four kinds of spiral helix i.e 3 beyond just the RNA~~~DNA. One was the ribbon spools is how he described it

Really need to read the book again, cause he mentions how there is four kinds of spirals involve in a biologic cell and not just the famous double helix..

Here is one review gernarlization of the book https://www.publishersweekly.com/978-0-19-511828-5

... " Loewenstein discusses the origin of information and explains how it ""pulls a molecular organization out of the erratic quantum world and engenders the primal organizations of matter in the universe."" The bulk of his book then focuses on the role information transfer has played in the evolution of life over the past four million years. By merging principles of biology and physics, Loewenstein explains the workings of cell biology and biochemistry. "

..." The light at the end of the tunnel finally came when Leo Szilard showed that the demon's stunt really isn't free of charge. Though he spends no energy, he puts up a precious commodity called information. The unit of this commodity is the bit, and each time the demon chooses between a hot and a cold molecule, he shells out one bit of information for this cognitive act, precisely balancing the thermodynamics accounts. Exciting recent research shows that non-trivial quantum effects are present in biological systems – and not just in spite of, but sometimes because of, the interaction with the noisy and warm environment. Furthermore, because the brain is a complex non-linear system with high sensitivity to small fluctuations, it is likely that it can amplify microscopic quantum effects. Because quantum effects are generated by the vibration of 2d strings, it shows that this Universe is a simulation. I'm with Elon Musk on this.

Viruses are not biological no --co-joined, RNA-DNA system-- ..." Viruses do not have nuclei, organelles, or cytoplasm like cells do, and so they have no way to monitor or create change in their internal environment."

so, what effects on viruses? Specifics, or best speculation you know of. ? ?

Penrose had or has his Gravitation effects on those micro-tubules within the cytoskeleton, so, do viruses have any microtubules?  https://www.nature.com/scitable/topicpage/microtubules-and-filaments-14052932/

..." All cytoskeletons consist of three major classes of elements that differ in size and in protein composition. Microtubules are the largest type of filament, with a diameter of about 25 nanometers (nm), and they are composed of a protein called tubulin. Actin filaments are the smallest type, with a diameter of only about 6 nm, and they are made of a protein called actin. Intermediate filaments, as their name suggests, are mid-sized, with a diameter of about 10 nm. Unlike actin filaments and microtubules, intermediate filaments are constructed from a number of different subunit proteins. '..

Girus aka mamavirus because of its giant size.
..." Are viruses alive or dead? Well, we know they’re not dead. Death is what happens when a living organism stops performing biological functions, and for the moment we’re only interested in the active particles.

...So were they ever alive? Most biologists say no. Viruses are not made out of cells, they can’t keep themselves in a stable state, they don’t grow, and they can’t make their own energy. Even though they definitely replicate and adapt to their environment, viruses are more like androids than real living organisms. (Think Data from Star Trek, Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator, the Cylons in Battlestar Galactica or the robots in I, Robot). Just like crazy killer robots, viruses are created fully formed, and rely on host materials to build and power themselves. "

So more like zomebies, not alive and not really dead, --just fully biologic android---

The most complex animal is female woman. The simplest animal is below and the graphic shows invagination { inversion } process may be how first mouth vertrbaic animals evolved from less complex animals.

..." This series of drawings shows how early animal shapes may have evolved 500 million to 700 million years ago. The red part shows cells that can digest food. As the body shape evolved from a flat “plate” to a bowl to a vase, those cells formed a stomach inside the animal’s body.
Schierwater lab

“Now you have a mouth,” says Schierwater. It’s the opening of the vase. Inside that vase is now the stomach. "....

Invagination, is to go inward, to curl and evolve from spherical to tubular spine and other tubular vessels { digestive tract etc mouth to anus  }.
