I dislike his 'flow' but I can respect the vibe and concept. It could have been a much stronger piece in both wordplay and flow though, but I can respect it for sure.
If you're into conscious rap and skill along those lines, check this rap out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqgIKOXykHo
Warning, flashing lights in it

@RationalMadman
that was pretty good the message and their flow were nice
But have you heard of this?
alphabet aerobics-blackalicious

@drlebronski
I know of rappers who do that type of thing, A-F-R-O and actually RA Rugged himself (from the video I posted) as I say I can respect it but it's nothing I particularly vibe with or admire.
Just saying nonsense for the sake of flexing rhyming especially on a bad melody like that... I don't respect it much, it's more like practise than the end product of rapping. I can respect it like I can respect an professional athlete skipping on a rope and doing very demanding warmups.

@drlebronski
Outkast were/are definitely good at rapping when they weren't overly doing their singing stuff, they're only known for the singsong stuff (ms jackson is a hybrid one).

@RationalMadman
do you have spotify?
Personally for this song i think its ok
the best parts are when ICE CUBE raps even then its mediocre.
EASY E wasn't very good this rap.
-->
@drlebronski
I have it but I'm not revealing it here, why?
-->
@RationalMadman
just seeing if you knew it existed.
-->
@drlebronski
I obviously know that Spotify exists...
playlist i made

@drlebronski
I made my Spotify many years ago. 'many' in terms of spotify age, I won't specify the year. My username was not anonymised. Name-change of profile doesn't stop something else remaining the same in that respect. I'll check your playlist out but won't be a follower of it or your profile, for privacy reasons. I'm sorry.
Anything that was created by JiD.
I would say Kanye West, but he is creates beautiful art
Overall i think my 3 favorite rappers rn would be
1. outkast
2. ice cube
3. dem atlas

I don't know enough of/about dem atlas to comment but yeah I can see OutKast being there. André 3000 is my preferred of the duo, his solo stuff is totally worth checking out but big boi has skills for sure.
Ice cube is not bad but to call him genuine GOAT in rap is iffy for me vut note that my own taste is seen as iffy by many so it is what it is.
I was and am an MGK fan for instance, despite ofc being an Em fan too. The beef saddened me.

@drlebronski
Andre 3000 is great
-->
@RationalMadman
@Vader
i haven't listened to much of his solo stuff yet.
What are his best albums?
-->
@drlebronski
He doesn't have any, it's more like some nice singles.
If you're more of an album hunter then outkast in general aren't the best because they made fantastic singles mostly
Hey Ya is actually one of their saddest tracks ever, many people don't understand its meaning, it is essentially their take on Queen's Radio Gaga, people fell for it and proved the message in Hey Ya correct.
It says people don't care what he's saying, they just want the 'hey ya' to dance to.
-->
@RationalMadman
never thought about it like that
Also have you heard of the N.W.A?
-->
@drlebronski
How else would I have known who Ice Cube was to talk before?
-->
@drlebronski
I already follow them, so yes I know who they are.
-->
@drlebronski
-->
@RationalMadman
ive heard of them before but havent lustened to them; ill give it a quick listen

@drlebronski
Welcome to the vicious side of underground rap.
Skilled as fuck, brutal. This is that side of rap even Eminem doesn't want beef with and that's with full respect to him.
