I feel like I'm not writing this as carefully as I should. Anyway, I just saw on my social media timeline that Indonesia's ulamas have begun their condemnation of Taliban's extremist interpretation of Islam. I think it's amazing that neither the muslims nor the Americans could save Afghanistan.

What should our response to 9/11, have been?
(I'm not saying that war in Iraq and Afghanistan, were the response we should have taken, just curious of your thoughts)
Let the Taliban take over Afghanistan then nuke them. That is the only way to get rid of them. It's not like we never nuked a country before.
It would also be a good way to test our atomic bomb inventory. Remember that Trump was going to meet with the Taliban at Camp David. He probably was going to get them to attack the Capital.

100% agree with this.
The US should have exited the Middle East after the end of the Cold War (when it was no longer strategically advantageous to have a position there against Soviet Russia). This would have avoided 9/11, all the oppressive anti-freedom laws that resulted from that, and the general animosity that the Middle East has against Americans.
The US needs to clear out of the Middle East completely and stop involving itself with affairs that are of no business to it.
