Why not, Is it because of your religion? That doesn't matter not everyone is christian; god is supposed to be accepting of sins (though i would argue being gay isn't a sin) plenty of gay people are christian. being gay doesn't do anything to anyone at anytime; you can use the stereotype that a gay person would crush on another man in the military but that isn't an argument that's a stereotype.

There's always going to be people who cant stand anything different
The only problem I can actually see regarding this is that the military splits by gender specifically to avoid sexual activities (they are trying to make you become an extremely focused, disciplined individual).
The problem is that homosexuals (or alternatively transgenders that are heterosexual or bisexual in their transferred gender) can and probably will get intimate at some point.
Other than that, there's no issue.

Are they assaulting their comrades in the barracks? Are they failing at physical tests? Are they non-patriotic and refuse to fight for the country?
If any of these questions has a "no" as an answer, it means that they should be free to go. It goes without saying that assaulters joining the military is a bad idea, but equating gay people to any other group of people would be inaccurate. If the third question's answer is no, try reflecting on the system.

Also if the gays want to fight, make them fight. Preventing them from fighting is literally fueling your own ideas and putting them onto them without their consent.
If anything, the original video publisher should argue for Gay people to have the ability of refuse drafts, if they think Gay people are precious.
