Politics: There are over 20 political issues, such as, "Should abortion be legal?",  "Should taxes be raised", "Should we have more gun control" etc.

Religion: There is only one issue: Does God exist?

How come there are more posts from this one singular issue (The existence of God) then there are from every single political issue COMBINED?  There are more posts on the religion forum than all the political issues on the political forum.  WHY?

You replied to Kadin's topical post just yesterday in religion having naught to do with the existence of God, so this topic is already off on the wrong foot. Your premise is false; there is more to the Religion forum than existence of God. I have a posting on free agency, for example.

While the two subjects are relevant in different ways politics is basically relevant as a collective influence whereas the subject of God's existence can be both collective as well as extremely personal. Politics can come and go, it may change from one thing to another but there is a more personal element involved with the topic of God or religion. For example if God exists, then it's most likely if not certain that the soul exists and if that's true the dynamics involved are not only relevant to every single person but also highly fascinating. I think the subject matter is so intriguing that even atheists (non-believers) find the topic of interest inescapable, possibly even over politics. Heck, you see atheists more committed to the religion forum than the politics forum lol, that's because the question of God's existence is far more valuable in terms of sheer importance....one is temporal, one is eternal.....one is changing, one is unchanging.....one is external and the other internal ect ect...
I really don't think they are comparable at one level, the question is rather odd I must say. It's much like asking why there is more activity within the politics forum over the sports forum, it's just that politics are far more relevant to varying states of positions and beliefs while the other is just altogether a different subject matter. Spirituality whether people understand it or not is very much a part of each person because that is their true self and true origins and it will forever be a topic that people will gravitate to even though there are people who couldn't be further from believing God exists. I mean if God exists it virtually changes reality as each person may perceive it or even experience it.
At the core of each person there will always be the ever present curiosity of their inner being, origins and destinations. And that is because it is built within them, it's a reality that nobody could ever escape and so the topic of God is unlike any other subject.

Do you believe there should be more activity and or interest within the politics forum over the religion forum?

You probably forgot that human land was battled and fought on which sets of rules is the best one. The Crusades or even the Palestine conflict.

People love to antagonize others. With politics they brought up all these issues, but the issue of existence is enough to antagonize people who they don't recognize with.

Well religion often seeps its way into politics so there's that. Most people were raised in homes with some type of religion which they either are happy for a resent so there's that. And some people think they're religion or lack thereof makes them better than other people that seems to be the biggest reason.

The answer would seem to be if god or gods don't exist, then all other religious proposals would have considerably diminished import. If that were the case, arguing about it becomes akin to arguing about whose favorite song is best, or debating which Jedi knight is strongest with the force. No one bases their life choices on which Jedi's strongest, no one goes to funerals to berate parents of gay soldiers because of disagreements about the meaning of the lyrics of your favorite song.

TheUnderdog,

THE TOTALLY BIBLE INEPT FAUXLAW ERRONEOUSLY STATED TO YOU THE FOLLOWING IN POST #2:  "You replied to Kadin's topical post just yesterday in religion having naught to do with the existence of God, so this topic is already off on the wrong foot. Your premise is false; there is more to the Religion forum than existence of God. I have a posting on free agency, for example."

When FAUXLAW promotes their deceitful "free agency," aka, "Free Will" scenario, they continue to be totally Bible ignorant.  This is easily shown by Jesus' inspired words relative to Him NOT giving His creation Free Will, but controlling all of their lives, especially by Jesus being omniscient (John 3:20). The link below where I have had to correct the Bible stupid FAUXLAW on this topic is shown in the link below:

Because the subject of God's existence elicits strong emotions. Except some atheists have not come to terms with this yet. I single them out because they typically take the position that their stance is based on empirical data and is devoid of any flimsy-whimsy useless concoctions of the mind like imagination and emotion. Whereas theists embrace their emotional attachment to their spirituality. So why are there so many posts? (Some) atheists are in denial.
