I personally wouldn’t be against it.  Our senators and representatives  could get more factual information than they could from random complaints done by people that are less factual than the people on DART.  Next time I see my representative, I want to tell him about DART.

Hello I'm senator dingdong and I regret adding wylted to my friends list, please understand my party did not have anything to do with this and we are currently seeking remidiation of this process.

@RM

No way are you a senator.  I don't think Senators will care who they are friends with.  Some left wing representetives in my district get along with me.  Very few senators are SJWs.

they actually tried this when DDO was first made way back in 2007. I will see if I can find the article but the creator invited Obama and McCain to do a virtual debate. It didn’t happen of course

Despite what you might like to think (relative to your political allegencies), I would imagine that being a Senator is quite time consuming and demanding.

Dart is for people with time to spare.

What do senators do except for making legal policy, or which they can find better arguments on DART than they can from emails they get?

Firstly a senator may already have an account here anonymously. Secondly, this site involves debating taboo topics most senators don't want to have to take a hard stance on. By taboo, in a swing state having a hard stance on abortion and trans acceptance is generally taboo ) especially in sports with trans rights but also bathrooms). Taboo doesn't only mean extreme.

Neither their PR team nor their voters will enjoy them joining this website publicly. It could jeopardise their reputation significantly given what users like Wylted have done and what harsh things others have said. This isn't a place they want to associate with, it stains their image and only appeals to a fringe group who probably were already open to the idea of voting them.

No famous personality wants to reveal their identity if they're saying strong views on this site, I am sure. Why do you think Mike doesn't debate on his own website?

I don’t think what Wylted says would impact the political careers of senators.

I don’t think having a DART account stains your image as a politician.  How would it?

I would suggest that you have a naive appreciation of the responsibilities of a Senator.

Do you think that they sit in an ivory tower  all day, pointing their finger and proclaiming?

If you are as clever as a Senator, then why aren't you a Senator?

And alternative arguments are not necessarily better arguments, especially if they are partisan arguments.

3 reasons why I’m not a senator.

1)I’m too young.
2) I’m not rich enough.
3)I want to be POTUS, not some corrupt senator.

They also got to where they were at by constant bribes and having money

Yep...That's fair enough.

Too young

Too poor

And too honest.

You need money to have an effective campaign. However it's pretty rude to say they bribe people
