well shit zed, you could categorize everything through anatomical terms. "It's just a chemical reaction in your brain" after all.
But you are right, there is less emphasis on the actual music nowadays. Now the status, music video, fame, trends, etc are more important. People have become so dopamine desensitized that they can NOT sit through an album anymore. I remember before I quit porn I could not focus on the song for more than 2 minutes. Now that I went on a dopamine detox music sounds so much better and I can actually just sit and listen unlike before.

Chemical reactions for sure Doc.
And though I do like some sounds, I find a lot of "popular music" tedious and oftentimes irritating.
My favourite sound is the dawn chorus.
And yes, the sound of popular porn is also very tedious and irritating.
So I am told.
Though I'm proud of you coming out of the porn closet, as it were.

The new Arctic Monkeys album is a very big disappointment. The last album I was willing to give them but this one is exactly the same as the last and the songs all sound alike.
