my understanding is that this is an example: some states have laws that allow absentee voting if a ballot is requested, and that's the law. but the govenors of some states took it upon themselves to send ballots to everyone. this seems to be the best i can imply as a possible wrong doing, but i dont know if this is what actually happened. it's hard to get good info on these sorts of claims.

now, even if the states did do wrong, that doesn't mean that millions of voters should have their votes voided or have the elections over turned. the people spoke, period. the voters and candidates and everyone involved have their own constitutuional rights. it's not right to invalidate millions of voters due to a technicality, bottom line.

but i am curious what kind of arguments there are that states violated their own election laws.

all the bogus fraud claims i dont buy. no one can provide reputable sources that show widespread fraud that would change the outcome of the election.

even if that were true, the time to sue over it is before the election. There was lots of time to test that in court. If no one chose to do so, then you can't invalidate the votes after the fact.

Voter fraud has proved exceedingly rare. The Brennan Center for Justice in 2017 ranked the risk of ballot fraud at 0.00004% to 0.0009%, based on studies of past elections.
In the five states that regularly send ballots to all voters, there have been no major cases of fraud or difficulty counting the votes.

on the one hand, we have all of mainstream media, including the most credible sources of news and even conservative sources like Fox news. we have all of the courts in the country, including the supreme court who is packed with trump appointees. we have the bulk of congress, and all fifty states including republican states.

on the other hand, we have trump, a con man and a pathological liar.

which one should we choose??

if you trust trump, you're just stupid. there's no way around it.

lol the president isn't "authority"? He is literally the top of the government. If he isn't authority, no one is.

Lol, you are on some major fucking drugs if you think the Con-gress allowed Trump to do anything the past 4 years.

If Trump is the best authority government can offer in your eyes, then anarchy is already here. Luckily the president is the weakest of the 3 branches by far and away, and the past 4 years proved it. Con-gress dictates what a president can do, not you.

You can claim Trump has authority all day long, but the past 4 years proved without question where the real government power always was.

The Con-gress.

the president is the most powerful person in the world. If he isn't "authority" then no one is.

no, trump is the weakest person, not the office. Trump is an idiot. He has no actual principles (or morals). So when McConnel didn't want to do something, he could distract him with appointing a judge or doing a rally etc. Trump accomplished very little in his presidency and it is because he is stupid and incompetent. He allowed the people around him to distract him like a small child gets distracted by toys.

You can claim Trump has authority all day long, but the past 4 years proved without question where the real government power always was.
the past four years proved he is an incompetent idiot more interested in playing golf, tweeting, and doing political rallies than in actually doing any real work.

President Trump claims the election was stolen. [...] Every election we know features some illegality and irregularity and of course that's unacceptable. [...] nothing before us proves illegality anywhere near the massive scale [...] that would have tipped the entire election, nor can public doubt alone justify a radical break when the doubt itself was incited without any evidence. [...] The voters, the courts, and the states have all spoken.

-Mitch McConnell
