I'm a big fan of Trading Places and Nightmare Before Christmas, though calling them Christmas movies is at least somewhat uncertain.
The Muppets' version of A Chistmas Carol is the best version, and that would rate high for me.
But I'll make a recommendation based on something new I've seen this year that I absolutely loved. Klaus is a great animated movie and it deserves a wider audience. Seriously, go watch it, it's on Netflix.
