Do you think there is some definition of god that should be exempt from scrutiny? This thread is called "what's your best argument for God's existence." If you post here, expect scrutiny.

Speak for yourself here, why should one expect scrutiny from YOU specifically?

You made the post specifically to scrutinize? Unless you have your own preconceived notions don’t you think it would make more sense to go about this with more of an open mind? Nonetheless I believe the moral argument should be pretty convincing, unless your a nihilist which I don’t assume you are.

I'm not scrutinizing every single post, just those I feel like. I like to keep my mind open, but not so open that it falls out, so a little scrutiny is necessary.

Didn't bother reading what everyone else said, so this might have already been said, but the best argument I can think of is that humans haven't managed to wipe themselves out yet.

And another slip of the tongue....You just can't help yourself.

I challenge you....To not refer to your specific "ungendered" GOD as HIM.

I will continue to refer to God as "Him", because my relationship with God is personal, and "It" is not a personal way of refering to God.

In what way? And how you derive morality from something prior to establishing it's existence?

Because all effects have causes and morality is an effect that God caused.

Well how do you prove god's existence. I argue that morals can only come from pure practical reason. And any divinely commanded morals are merely the morals of fallible men, claiming to speak for god

And where does pure practical reason come from? Although I prefer logic over practicality.

Reason is embedded In our language, so the use of reason necessitates a language base. "It is the reason that drives actions without any sense dependent incentives." So I argue that pure reason, without a Posteriori input is the foundation of moral principle. So how do you prove god's existence?

No you’re not answering mine, you can’t define a word with the word itself that’s not how logic works, so again I ask what’s a priori reason?

I did answer your question. A priori means without empirical input. It's reason using theoretical deduction without empirical input. Pure reason is reason A Priori. Pure inquiry is inquiry into A Priori knowledge, which is the realm of moral inquiry. So now answer my question, how do you prove god's existence?

We don’t come into the world with knowledge, babies don’t have knowledge it’s empirical input that got us here.

You reason from a set of statements. It's deductive. It doesn't require empirical input to reason from a set of statements.

I'm not going to respond If you continue to ignore my question while I answer yours.

How can you possibly know that? I don’t know you personally but you probably have parents that raised you and taught you what you know, and went to school and had certain influences in your life that’s all input.

That question starts a circle which I’ve answered already morality is proof of God’s existence.
