Suggestion: A way for mods/site owner to send an automatic notification for everyone linking to a specific thread (without having to manually mention every single member). Useful for threads where site-wide awareness is important.

Believe me or not, but I am gonna work today on a similar thing, a site wide notifications, I imagine it could quite useful to announce important things. Regarding the topic scope, that'd require some thinking but I'll see what I can do.

Suggestion: Make it so people that you have blocked cannot challenge you to debates.

No, why the fuck do I want random noobs voting on my debate badly? Why do all users need a ton of notifications to come back too after a month's break?

They can opt-in via favouriting the debate.

Yeah, I tend to agree with RM on this matter, I also think it should be an opt-in thing. I am thinking about implementing a popup for the "favorite" buttons that would allow users to pick what they want to be notified about. 

Far enough. I was just considering that the "Debate Voting" thread is what users are trying to do anyway: notify people that a debate is in the voting period and they are soliciting anyone for votes. A notification feature would do that far more efficiently. The desire to have specific people voting on a debate is already an option.

It's not actually a propaganda system, it's a global notifications system, if you will. It's going to be used to announce some important changes on the website and things like that.

I've just found quite a few serious issues that may affect SEO of the website so I am going to work on them for the next few days. 

No I think it's intrusive, egomaniac bs to shove your thoughts on the whole site.

If I understand it correctly, you suggest to add the names of the users that mention you into the emails, right?

this may have been mentioned, but a leaderboard for votes: and having debates with more than half the rounds forfeited counting towards win/loss - but not ELO (if you’re the winner).

Also, are you looking for design, and implementation assistance?
