OK WHAT IS THIS

Why are people suddenly banned all the way to 2102 when there is no reason? Why are moderators allowed to do that or is it just an operational error?

It says that because their bans predate the RFB (reasons for ban) field. Also, 2102 probably means they're permabanned, considering that it's very unlikely anyone on this site now will still be on DART in 2102.

I will have to fake my own death here at some point, to disguise my immortality.

We're all technically immortal since the words we write on here will last forever. Well, immortal so long as DART is accessible by some sentient being.

Every user who died left the site. My anc2006 account on DDO was used by someone else prior to me so account=/=person. Account can still be alive whereas its original user could be dead.

I guess the words we use are a representation of us but in order to tie our words here to find a person who said it would require something like a time machine. Sure a really really clever being with really really amazing technology can trace DA's users to the real life person but would they and isn't this stuff very fantastical?

Sharing accounts violates Terms of Use of DDO. You could be permabanned.

Sure I could be. I mean I don't use it anymore. This is much better.

before that text showed up there was no reason so they either have to fill the reason or leave it be

the chief mod who left has a lot of the reasons so it might be gone

also 2102 just means permabanned

Any bans from before we voted in a ban log (I think it was voted in...), do not list the reason due to the privacy rules we had at the time.

As for the weird dates: We don't technically have an option when enacting a ban to make it permanent, so we make do with setting it for 10,000 days or something like that.

This is a weird thread. The answer to the question in post one is given in full by the thread title.
