Debating is at first tactical art that masquerades as a strategic science that masquerades as a linguistic exercise but really is a psychological experiment each time it's done (and the lab rats are the audience and judges).

Taoism is extremely different to Confucianism, their 2 similarities are:

1) that they both believe that people are innately good if others in society are good (as the default)

2) that they both believe that bad people need to be dealt with harsher than kind people

Buddhism differs on 2 but all three agree on 1.
