We have proof covid 19 is a hoax. The media is using fake footage and sensationalism.  Check this evidence out https://youtu.be/KZHzKEqlvWI

The video is absolute proof of lying so watch it now before it is removed

lol this is just sad. So some TV news agency couldn't get footage of highly infectious patients, so they cut in other footage. And you think this is evidence of a grand conspiracy.

Why would they not make it obvious it was stock footage if that is the case? Does that sound like responsible reporting, to use stock footage and then try to imply it was footage of a corona patient?

in what way is it not responsible reporting? The information they are providing is accurate. I didn't see anywhere in that clip where they said "and here you see people with caronavirus" so it's not like they lied either.

You want to believe a conspiracy theory and are grasping at any straw you can to justify it. Next you'll be telling me jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams lol.

And it is irresponsible because they were clearly implying they were using footage of actual hospitals during the corona virus, that is why this stock footage was also surrounded by non stock footage. If you think that the media is always correct and has never once sensationalized anything, I'm not sure what to tell you

Here is another example of the news using fake footage for corona virus
ok, so they couldn't get footage of corona virus patients, so they used footage of caronavirus patients.... are you hearing how dumb you sound?

did using the stock footage hurt anyone? anyone at all? You are arguing that because they couldn't get the right footage, that is evidence of a global conspiracy. As long as the information they were providing is accurate, the stock footage is irrelevant.

You are an idiot. They said it was footage from an american hospital when it was from an italian one. Why are you okay with that lie?

Also the word has is used as rhetoric to mean the media is sensationalizing things. Would you like to debate me on whether the media sensationalized things

Do you also believe in flat Earth and bigfoot.

Some people seem to prefer fantasy, rather than fact.

It's one way of coping I suppose.

A) i don't know that they actually lied. You are claiming they did without any evidence.
B) even if they did, that is not the information that is important. The video in the background is just to assist in getting the information they are saying across. If the information they are saying is accurate, then I don't really give a shit if they are using stock video in the background.

Also the word has is used as rhetoric to mean the media is sensationalizing things. Would you like to debate me on whether the media sensationalized things
The latest figures i can find is that 54,239 americans have died from corona virus. Roughly 3,000 people died on 9/11. This is 18 times more deadly than 9/11, and it is still going up. I don't watch alot of cable news so maybe they are sensationalizing. But i haven't seen any evidence of that. And with an event 18 times worse than 9/11 i honestly don't see how they could.

Died WITH or died FROM the corona virus? There is a huge distinction and it actually matters. There's plenty of people walking around that might not know they have next to no chance of dying from coronavirus if they have zero other health complications.

this is just an out and out lie. There are plenty of otherwise healthy people who require hospitalization because of corona virus. The reason why most of those people aren't dying is because, due to social distancing and lock downs, the spread has been low enough that the medical system has been able to handle it.

With proper medical care and a ventilator, otherwise healthy people are unlikely to die from corona virus. But that doesn't mean 10's of thousands aren't dying already. And if trump could get his way and reopen the country, 100's of thousands more would die as the medical system collapses under the strain. And when if the ventilators run out, then the bodies will pile up much, much faster.

More young people die in swimming pools than from coronavirus. Fucking overblown.

The reason why it is mostly elderly and people with other health issues that are dying is because we are in the middle of one of the biggest restrictions ever put in place. The healthcare system is managing to hold on specifically because businesses were closed and people were ordered to stay in their homes. If the virus had managed to spread more (and it absolutely would have if we hadn't locked everyone down) then the death toll would be much higher. And the death rates among younger and healthier people would be massively higher.

Fucking overblown.
you have the ability to say that because the methods of controlling the spread of the disease have worked. And even then, 50,000 people are dead. This is way, way, way more destructive than 9/11. And I would hope you wouldn't be so abusive about 9/11 being "fucking overblown".

Less than 4,000 people die each year to swimming pools in the US, a portion of which we can consider youths, but this is figure is all-inclusive, including adults as well (1). The virus has already claimed the lives of nearly 50,000 people in a matter of months (6). There are a reported 33,000 death that remain unaccounted for in the worldwide death toll, which means this 50,000 figure may be a conservative estimate (3). The predicted death toll in the US is between 60 and 200 thousand deaths (4). If the virus falls within that range, it would almost certainly make the top ten list for leading causes of death in the US (5). Rampant testing failures and "hidden" outbreaks of the virus in the US may push the death toll much higher (6).

Whether the virus is overblown or not, it will kill thousands more than swimming pool accidents. Given the tacit approval of some states to re-open bars, restaurants, etc. this figure may skyrocket.

Old people with health complications have always died from the flu with little fanfare.

4 million babies are born every year in the USA. If there isn't some mechanism, natural or man-made to facilitate around 4 million deaths a year in America, we got a bigger problem than anything the media tells you.

The "media" is business and needs to be profitable and therefore needs to produce a product that the mass market will buy into, it's called marketing. So yes the media "sensationalizes".

Nonetheless here in the U.K. the media is heavily regulated and I would assume the same is true in The U.S.A. So, though sensationalizing is certainly the name of the game, telling outright lies isn't.

Therefore I would suggest that accepting media information at face value and without further consideration may sometimes be foolhardy. Though there will always be a certain basis of truth to work upon.

Referring to Covid19 has an outright hoax is a completely different scenario though. This is definitely the "fantasy land" of conspiracy theory.

Covid-19 has a higher fatality rate than influenza, regardless of what demographic we're talking about. There is no vaccine for Covid-19 either, the absence of which facilitates its spread. As far as young people contracting and subsequently dying from the virus, that's happening too. Evidence from 1,400 hospitalizations suggest that 25% of Covid-19 patients were under the age of 50 (3). Of course, many will recover, but complicating factors such as asthma, obesity, and hypertension will cause many younger people to die as well. Also, virus is known to induce strokes in people with few to no significant risk factors (4), and has already killed over 700 younger and middle aged people (5).

The crux of your argument seems to rest on the idea that as long as less than 4 million people die, there are other issues more deserving of our attention. By that premise, no single disease or cause of death is important enough to consider taking action against, not obesity, suicide rates, or cancer. 2.8 million people died in the US in 2017 for a variety of reasons. Should we stop pursuing treatments to cancer since it only impacts so many people? How about treatment for those suffering form major depressive disorder? Surely, resources could be allocated elsewhere if we only care about the 4 million figure. Covid-19 kills more people per day than anything else as of now (2). It could be/get worse. Irrespective of this 4 million figure, there is ample reason to treat this outbreak as fairly serious even if it doesn't kill as many people as a nuclear bomb.

Thankfully, the full impact of the virus is hampered by stay at home orders, but reversing them will cause spikes in contraction of the virus and death. Increasing hospitalization rates will overwhelm medical institutions, which I'd imagine would not be good for the economy given our aging workforce. Also, in the event that we did hypothetically open the entire country to business, how many people would be willing to go to the theaters? How about bars and restaurants? In the intervening time, while companies are waiting for consumer demand to normalize, these businesses will need to pay for employees, and quite a few would be furloughed if businesses are unable to pay them. What happens then? Declining sales are evident even among essential businesses, such as retailers (6). There were also signs of falling restaurant bookings even before shutdown measures were introduced, but after it was known that Covid-19 was surfacing (7). Who wants to fly now? Who wants to go on a cruise now? Probably nobody. The threat of losing jobs and falling income prevent many from making contributing to consumption, the largest component of our GDP.

Literally shutting down society and not allowing people to buy stuff or make money to feed their family or pay rent is more likely to harm the economy than a bunch of boomers whose brains have become too slow to excel in their management roles, all of a sudden dying off and causing superior young people who can better adapt to a quickly changing world take their spots.

Both, freedom of speech  and fascism are separate issues. Though in defending the U.S. position thus, you are somewhat contradicting your previous attack on the U.S. media.

Your initial suggestion was that Covid19 was a hoax and that this was a fact proven by a complete lack of media integrity.

And in a Nation so fraught with litigation I would think that it is highly unlikely that there are no media regulations.

What does the F.C.C. do for instance?

The media is free to do as they want. It just so happens to be that they want to be the mouth piece of the establishment.
