My husband and myself have been very open nudist for 25 years and we wonder why in the year of 2020 is public nudity not an accepted behavior. We have discussed the subject with several of our friends (many of them are Christians) and we still have not really gotten a great answer to why there is still such a taboo with the subject. We have both gone as far as going naked in public and we have never gotten a real negative reaction and in fact have gotten the THUMBS up reaction. Anyway, feel free to join the discuss with any comments that you would like to make and we will get back to everyone.

Shame. Thats why God clothed man and woman when they knew they were naked. Also why God clothes us in his righteousness when we obey him. Acts 2:38 is how you can be saved.

We think that because Adam and Eve were ashamed, that is why he clothed them. No where does it say that He was shamed of them. 

Yes, they were ashamed because of knowlegde of good and evil, and they lost their connection to God. There are many reasons to be clothed, not only from common sense and pratical stand point, but also spiritual stand point. I ask you both to repent of this and keep your nakedness between yourselves, that you wont be tempted or tempt others and be further hardened by the decietfulness of sin.

remember that Jesus allowed (yes he could have stopped it at anytime) himself to be stripped naked and he was displayed that way on the cross because the romans though he would be shamed by it. Wrong again romans LOL 

So that he could bear our shame and nakedness and fulfill all righteousness. Also you will have to quote the verses if you mean to imply scripture. Example. Hebrews 12:2 

The Bible says nothing about why he was stripped naked and displayed that way for the world to see.

also why is the statue of David naked and everyone accepts that?

Because sin abounds and people decieve and become decieved, excusing foolishness for art.

Did you know God killed israelites while they were naked? They were worshipping baal and aaron made them stay naked so their enemies would mock them. Exodus 32:19-28 If you are wanting to justify nakedness according to God, you wont suceed, you will be judged for disobedience.if you want to harden yourself and die, then continue to disregard God. Or, you can repent and be saved that you might live. Acts 2:38 john 10:10

3 years ago with the agreement from our pastor, my husband and I lead a 3 session Church discussion on nudity and we announced at the first session that we were both going to lead the second session while we remained completely naked the whole time. None of the 20 people had a issue with it and we ended up doing the 3rd session naked as well. Would you have attended all 3 sessions?

I am the female half of a nudist couple and I am 54 and he is 59.

This site is fairly new and is mostly composed of people who left Debate.org after a slew of spam and automated bots damaged the site's functionality by causing bugs which the developers failed to substantively address. People clothed themselves because they were cold.

The taboo has become a collectivised and well established data construct.

It's so easy to blame everything on an assumed god.

Though using nature as a philosophy, one might  therefore question the boob job....One is either confident and therefore content in their natural body.... or not so perhaps.

using clothing for body protection is completely fine with us however people should not be forced to cover the body to hide it, however if you want to that is your choice
