What in the fuck is wrong with liberals. Where they think people should get positions based on anything other than merit. Wouldn't it be better to have the first female vice president be picked because no better candidate for the job exists? Don't you know that to ensure a fair and just society, we need to ensure all positions of power are precisely proportionate to the current racial makeup of the United States? I think the point is saying that people should win by merit and we should strive to make merit based decisions when voting or choosing our VPs.

Then you misunderstood his point. Everyone agrees that people should win by merit. That isn't what GP said. GP said people always do win by merit already.

He said that if there was any woman with more merit than Biden she is guaranteed to have beat him in the primary, the implication being that the winner always has more merit.

You can agree with this claim if you want, I really don't care, I am just pointing out that I don't.
